My Zest looks like it was cheating on me with other watches before it got boxed up

Has anyone else gotten one of the new braided loops to find that it’s bigger than the previous ones? These are all 41mm size 3. Green is straight out of the box. It’s like a whole size bigger. Had to return it. I just hope the next one I buy doesn’t have the same defect.

Can we get a quick Ginger vs. Zest comparison? Zest is the only I‘m still conflicted about …
Hard to say I didn’t get my hopes up a little high for Zest. I’m sure the Sport Band is a little stronger and the silicone case more so. Wrist shot tomorrow when I get my still-battery-f***** White Ceramic back.

I think that’s a defect. I bought the 45mm size 5 bright green braided loop and it fit the same as 3 previous ones I had when I first bought them. That’s a significant difference you are showing.

I did notice the sports loop (lavender / gray is what I got from this release) are significantly shorter. Not a problem, as they are one size fits all, but def not as long as they used to be, which could be a problem for people with the most massive wrists in the world.

That's actually a good news for tiny-wrist people - like me. I wish they would also make the milanese loop a little shorter, since it almost double my wrist, even in its smaller variant.

Also, extemporary thought on that note, I wish they would refresh the Milanese Loop style. Like a "solo Milanese" style. Or some butterfly/buckle closure. Something without a loop, that makes the watch asymetrical, that's fine with the sport loops since they are sporty looking, but I've always had the feeling that everything that's asymetrical makes fancy stuff look a little less fancy.

Am I the only one?

Wow, they're actually pretty close. From youtube videos Zest looked more like Flash than like Ginger to me. Good to know.

Merci beaucoup, mon frere. Looks pretty banging to me, if relatively similar.

The asymmetry is why I don't like sport loops. It just looks bulky and clunky on one side. That's why the Nike Summit White will probably remain my only one 😅

OMG I can totally relate, I thought I was the only one. I've sold all of my SL, recently addled a couple for a very low price just to wear it for running in the summer, when the Nike Sport Bands become sticky. I do like them when I see them on others though, just not on me. It's weird o_O

I keep a few sport loops just because there is simply nothing as comfy or breathable in hot weather (yes, even the braided solo loop is not as good). They are my least favorite style aesthetically though so I never have more than 2-3 sport loops in my collection.

Exactly my feelings. I will totally wear my one and only (for now) Braided Solo as my daily driver this summer, but never for running or even for swimming. That is the only time of the year when I crave a sport loop.
And to make things worse, I passionately dislike the stripes sport loop that Apple is making now, such as the huge Nike swoosh on the new Nike sport Loops. So I would only hunt for some good old collections Nike sport loops at the moment.

It's baffling to me how Apple introduces a new starlight braided solo loop but discontinues the starlight solo loop. And then resurrects the white solo loop to take starlight's place. Isn't starlight one of the "core" (as opposed to seasonal) colors?

What does that tell you about solo loop sales…I mean look at red Gen 5 goo…no solo loop. There’s some explanation that has to do with default/pack-in bands.

Spitballing, I’m guessing solo loops sell more to us a la carte obsessives?
