What does that tell you about solo loop sales…I mean look at red Gen 5 goo…no solo loop. There’s some explanation that has to do with default/pack-in bands.

Spitballing, I’m guessing solo loops sell more to us a la carte obsessives?
Still has to explain to myself why the (suicidal?) strategy to keep the SL and BSL as an Apple exclusives.

I don’t think Best Buy wants that many SKUs. But then you think about the hoarder-inspired design and inventory Amazon and that doesn’t hold up.

Maybe it’s a just-in-time production thing…too many potential remainders? This assumes they kinda pre-determine the batches of the bands third parties do sell.

Another thought for my previous message: if a lot of Watch buyers are still new to the product as Tim always loves saying, hard to see them jumping right into the tricky band.

Hyper Grape on the wrist. It's a charm.

The asymmetry is why I don't like sport loops. It just looks bulky and clunky on one side. That's why the Nike Summit White will probably remain my only one 😅
For me it’s because the “non loop” side looks to thin on the 45mm. I really liked the sport loop on my series 3, as if the asymmetry wasn’t as noticeable. But it just looks wrong to me on the 7.

View attachment 1973987Has anyone else gotten one of the new braided loops to find that it’s bigger than the previous ones? These are all 41mm size 3. Green is straight out of the box. It’s like a whole size bigger. Had to return it. I just hope the next one I buy doesn’t have the same defect.
I have the opposite problem. My Starlight 41mm and Black Unity 41mm braided solo loops are almost a whole size smaller than the Pride 40mm braided solo loop. All three with the same size number.

Anyone else using 38/40/41mm bands to her/his 42/44/45mm watch ?

I am starting to be ok with using wife's bands and not have to buy similar colors :)
Not sure if I should sell them (wife does not wear them anymore) or just keep them for myself and my collection. What do you guys think ?

honestly it would make me nervous about the overall watch safety, with the lugs being too short. I think there's a reason if Apple bothers to make all bands in 2 different sizes instead of a one size fits them all, other than aesthetics.

Still, a 40 mm band on a 44 mm watch looks way better than a 44 mm on a 40 mm watch!

I was thinking the same but then I checked the connectors and besides the width everything else seems to be the same size and aligned at the same place.

I guess it all comes down to personal preference and how OCD-crazy can this gap drive me. But honestly the eye doesn't really go there when I check my watch. Still not sure hah :)

Lemon Zest is very nice. Just unboxed mine a few hours ago. The yellow color is pale, but it has a neon undertone, which makes it stand out, but not overwhelming. It's a very happy to look at and I think will work with my mostly white-on-white summer wardrobe. I'm very happy with it. It's like Cantaloupe finally has a sister but in the yellow range.

Since I took these photos indoors, they are not particularly accurate. I will try to take some outdoor pics tomorrow.

So is Bright Green a Green equivalent of Capri Blue or Surf Blue is to blues?
Bright Green is similar to Capri in that it glows in medium light (surf blue glows in low light) but Bright Green washes out in the sun whereas Capri just looks like Royal Blue. There’s def room for a darker glow-y middle green that isn’t as neon as Bright Green. But based on what exists in the collection, Bright Green is def as close to Capri as we have for greens. Green Sport Band is just pure neon, comparable to Blue Gen 2.
