I mean look at Soft Pink modern versus classic buckle. And Marigold is especially crazy. In terms of how they think about how most customers think, the old bands don’t exist anyway, right?

So true … OTOH, the new Nectarine is basically exactly the same as the old one, isn‘t it? Just crazy.

So, Hermes band is here. This is my Schrödinger's band, it could turn out to be one of the best or one of the worst deal I've made on Internet.
Calling in the Hermes experts: do you think it's genuine?

@kobezzz buddy I'm sorry if I dare to tag you 🙏🏻

all codes are correct C = 2018 YES and DB always come together 280 is ok, 40 mm ok because the strap made in 2018 (from the end of 2019 the printed mm are no longer present) is also very well kept despite the double tour and the past years now almost 4. I would look for the Hermès velco case for the double tour.
then enjoy it and use it!
the triple color is also a limited time series and very difficult to find.

Thank you a lot! It did give me good vibes alredy from the private conversation with the seller, but the price was veeeery low (I paid 90€ for this o_O full price in my Country is 519!) and I suspected a Demo model with maybe some defects?

And I was right: There is a little area, were the band was tucked in the buckle (and maybe kept stored that way for years) that has this discolouration-change of "consistence" of the leather, which is giving me mixed feelings: it's on the inside of the wrist, so It'll be mostly myself that will be seeing it, but it's noticeable, at least from my perspective.

I'm no leather expert so I'm researching if there is some specific product/manouvre that I can do to "rigenerate" the area, maybe I'll take it to a leather store nearby and make them take a look at it. If I can mitigate that spot It will be the happiest yoink of my career.

My employee friend has ten slots left for discount bands for me this year and I had already sent him my order when we discovered there was a new white solo loop. So might be awhile til I’m truly ’complete’ again, not worth using slot nor necessarily enough of a discount for what it is haha.

It will only be stressful if they stop selling it after this season. It’s been pretty random so it wouldn’t surprise me if they EOLd it and then did a Midnight solo loop or some as yet unseen neutral buddy.

probably in that area water or liquid has passed and has not been dried immediately or it has been placed in a point in contact with heat and not in its velcro.
it is leather and the leather is alive and absorbs perfumes and smells, as mentioned a few days ago, take it to a Hermès store and see what they say.
also get the Hermès case and its gray velcro to keep it when not in use.
ps. all written on the Hermès website as https://www.hermes.com/it/it/story/185931-cura-della-pelle/

Speaking of,

Unity is on the wall! Bit awkward since I only have the sport band, though. For now, it’ll also home my CYR.

I obvious have some more printing to do so that I can help balance things out, but it’s growing. Taking a break from yoink searching other than the gold ones, so it’s a slow process.

This looks so great ❤️! My wife has the same band and she also really loves it. Regarding the defects: I wouldn't worry too much about it because its not visible if you look at the watch from above. It's also not that the color has changed into a different tone or something. But I can understand that it might bother you (e.g. I'm totally NOT on board with using silver lugs on the space black watch and vice versa) but maybe Hermès is able to do something.

Thank you! Well I don't know when I'll be able to make a true Hermes specialist take a look at it, but the guy from the leather shop nearby already worked a little magic: today the spot is already less noticeable (or maybe I'm getting used to it), I'm confident that with normal wear and by making the band "live" (to quote the guy) the leather will soften overall and also in that spot, becoming more homogenous and therefore less noticeable. Plus, in real life is really less noticeable then when I look at it in pictures.
A little bonus: if I had purchased it brand new, boxed, sealed and full priced (519 euros) I'll be soooo timid to wear it for the fear of ruining it, now it's the opposite and it might even become my daily driver this season.
So yeah, I can say I'm very happy with my purchase! From a pure band-nerd point of view, finally a band who fits perfectly my tiny wrist! All Apple bands (all of them, sport bands, sport loops, milanese loop...execpt for solo loops and modern buckle) feel "made" for a bigger wrist, and can be adapted to mine, but this double tour? Finally a band that looks MADE just for my wrist! It's a nice feeling 🥰 Plus yeah, I think it looks gorgeous. Can't wait to wear it regularly with short sleeves :)

Thank you all for the advices 🥰
