I bought mine used but its in good condition and I gave it a clean just because eeew someone else I've never met wore it, but I don't think it has dulled, I just think the purple in the holes isn't prominent enough. Black/Pink Blast and (my least favourite band of all) Black/Volt both pop in a way I wish Hyper Grape did also.

Anyway, i scored a Nike Hyper Grape / Black Sport band for $19 (with M/L strap only), but unfortunately it’s 44mm and not the 40mm as advertised. But I put it on anyway just to see how it looks. It really does seem to be quite dark unless its in direct light. Debating whether to try to find one in the correct size...

For those who have this band, I’m curious what your impressions are wearing it day to day.

I have it and it’s underwhelming in person. Up close it’s pretty and interesting but from an everyday distance it blends together and is drab to me.

Thanks for the feedback. The seller offered a partial refund, so I will wear it a bit to determine whether or not it’s a worthy addition to the collection 😄

With the black 44mm lugs on the 40mm SBSS, it actually doesn’t look so bad; in low light it pretty much blends right in:

In brighter light the mismatch still isn’t glaring enough to be too offensive:

It had a faint cologne smell which remained after washing, but a quick 1/2 mile swim in the bay took care of that rather nicely. 😄

As @athousandbands has said, it’s very unlikely - Apple has followed the same pattern as last year and dropped Summer Bands (colours) already for this year in the Spring Release. There have also been no new colours found in the WatchOS.

What is very well possible as the iPhone 13 line is also following the same pattern as last year regarding accessories is, three new Silicone Case colours for summer (that will likely not be matched across the Watch Band line, also like last year). However, my gut says this is very sadly looking less likely as the event is pretty soon and that Twitter Guy hasn’t leaked any new cases like he normally does these days. If Apple doesn’t drop new cases for Summer, then it would be a first since 2017

EDIT - actually wait a sec. Some quick research says that WWDC 2021 keynote was on June 7th, and Apple released summer themed Silicone Cases for iPhone 12 the following week on the 14th, so it doesn’t need to be tied to the event

I don’t follow cases. Did we get more colors than usual like the bands in fall and spring? I tried to look but I have no frame of reference.

Did all the “winter” cases also drop in September?

I consider the winter bands to be Mari, E Lav, Dark Cherry

For the iPhone cases,

Winter 2020 : no new cases

Last Spring: four new silicone cases, one new Leather case, one new Leather Wallet (iPhone 12)

Last Summer: three new silicone cases (iPhone 12)



This Winter: no new cases

This Spring: four new silicone cases, no new leather cases/wallets (iPhone 13)

This Summer: ?

For iPhone 12, there were in total 15 silicone case colours. For iPhone 13, there are currently 12 case colours - so they‘re looking well in line to get updated for summer but I wouldn’t get hopes up.

Yeah, it’s not an unattractive band, it’s just that if you don’t really like neutral bands and just bright ones, it’s a disappointment. I forget the name, but on the black and pink one, the pink pops, and I had hoped this would be like that.
