Pretty sure Midnight Blue came out in 2016 (or maybe late 2015) so that’s definitely 1st gen.
Tox is looking for the loop, though.
edit: MB came out Fall 2015, with second gen releasing 3 years later in Fall 2018.

My box says 2015. So this might even be for the worn one. I got the unworn one from target almost exactly a year ago on, Jul 7, 2019. I can't believe I would have tossed that box but I have no idea.
Another strange question.
Did Apple ever sell bands with the plastic hang thing at the top of the box? Trying to figure out if this box goes with the very worn band I bought at the apple store or the one I bought a year ago from target and I just got a really old band

Target and Best Buy like (or used to like) to put those ugly plastic hangers to the boxes and ruining them. I say that because I save all my pretty Apple boxes 😂
Use fishing line or another small string string as a saw to cut it off.

Love it with all the nikes and leather loops! I don’t think I would do the metal bands, but that’s just my preference. I say rock what you love.

So awesome! Flat Silver/Volt is just gorgeous, so clean! Same goes for the white leather loop, which looks like something a modern day Mark Twain would wear.
