I hope our watch band overlords will permit some brief discussion of watch faces, which certainly tie in to watch bands. I just read this fascinating article from Hodinkee from April that makes me appreciate the solar dial watch face much more. So many clever, hidden details I had no idea were there. What bands can we best pair this with?

Here are some green bands. Mint green, marine green, beryl, teal tint/tropical twist and seafoam. I hope this post is pleasing to our watch band on-topic monitors. Please accept my watch band offering.

After an hour on the phone with Apple, they are sending me the band. Gotta pay $49 plus shipping--but I suppose I'm OK with that as these can't be purchased anywhere else. The model numbers in the system were impossible for the rep to decipher. She had to check with supervisors to see which one has the ceramic white pin. With my luck, they'll send me one with a silver pin (but at least I have a chat transcript to back me up if that happens!)

My collection has TRIPLED since March. I think i'm just filling the sadness gaps with bands during quarantine. :) But the spring releases, pride, re-releases of winter bands on apple.com, the ebay seller.. come onnnnn

It makes it less painful because if you get bored of a band you can EASILY sell them for a profit or at worst cost.

How many generations of the (Product) Red sport band have there been? I have one I got with no outer box that has the "(Product) Red" logo & "40mm" stamped on it. Do I have it correct that that would the 3rd gen from late 2018? Is that the same as what Apple is currently selling?
