I’ve only ever had this happen once, and it wasn’t really that big of a deal. I just gently deformed the box a bit so the edges bowed outwards, then I vigorously tapped the box until it slowly fell out. Here is my "Useless paper removal tool"![]()

It would break my OCD heart just to think of putting a wrinkle on a box 😅I’ve only ever had this happen once, and it wasn’t really that big of a deal. I just gently deformed the box a bit so the edges bowed outwards, then I vigorously tapped the box until it slowly fell out.
Interesting! Thx! So then G2 and G3 are the same shade?3 generations of sport band. G1 is brightest, G2 is darkest and doesn’t have a Product Red badge despite being product red. G3 is marked 44mm while the other two are 42mm, so it’s easy to tell the different generations apart.
Internal codenames for Product Red G2 are Dragon Red & Red Velvet. Despite the difference in names, these are all the same color.

To extract this paper, I use a long metal rod with a hook on the end. Works perfect🙂
I had 3D printed out a long “grabby” tool a while back to deal with these. But I would think any metal/wooden rod or dowel with a hook at the end should do the trick. I really do hate that paper piece... First thing I do when I unbox a new one is place that to the side.

I knew I wouldn't be alone in this... Looks like a hook maybe the answer, although I like the tape-wrapped bread knife.I’ve only ever had this happen once, and it wasn’t really that big of a deal. Ok I’ve located a 38mm red sport band on eBay, brand new.....but how do I know if it’s G1?3 generations of sport band. Either ask for the code on the back (G1 38mm starts MLD82)Ok I’ve located a 38mm red sport band on eBay, brand new.....but how do I know if it’s G1?
The first generation has 38mm markings, (product)red on a piece with a pin and model number MLD82AM/A (ZM/A, FE/A) on the boxOk I’ve located a 38mm red sport band on eBay, brand new.....but how do I know if it’s G1?
Damn you’re good! Thank you. Looks like G1!Either ask for the code on the back (G1 38mm starts MLD82) OR check the front of the box. If it says '316L Stainless Steel Pin' on the front of the box under 'Red' it's G1, if it just says 'Stainless Steel Pin', it's G2.
If it's not boxed, G1 says (Product)RED on the pin strap, G2 doesn't.
If it's in a new-style textless box, it's G3

Awesome photo!!!!Had some time to take some shots of the Blues since I had a few requests after orange. Once I get in my last batch of bands I’ll take some of the ”50 shades of grey” spectrum of muted bliss.
Only one missing from the picture is Midnight Blue Gen 2 which is identical to Gen 1. Didn’t want to skew my symmetry... By far the most accurate picture overall is the last shot.

Can you do me a favor and repost the oranges? I can't find it. I will bookmark it this time. I promiseThat is the problem with this tread being so large. So hard to search for specific photos.
Had a few requests to take pictures of all the orange/close to oranges. here are a few ranging from direct sunlight, to indirect sunlight, to natural lighting.
