I’ve only ever had this happen once, and it wasn’t really that big of a deal. I just gently deformed the box a bit so the edges bowed outwards, then I vigorously tapped the box until it slowly fell out.Here is my "Useless paper removal tool"

Like I said before, I just shook the box and tapped on the end, and mine came out. Is yours really that wedged in there?

I knew I wouldn't be alone in this... Looks like a hook maybe the answer, although I like the tape-wrapped bread knife.
Shaking has worked sometimes, but both these sellers have really jammed 'em in trying to close the boxes before shipping.
Ok I’ve located a 38mm red sport band on eBay, brand new.....but how do I know if it’s G1?
Either ask for the code on the back (G1 38mm starts MLD82)
If it's not boxed, G1 says (Product)RED on the pin strap, G2 doesn't.
If it's in a new-style textless box, it's G3
Edit - looks like the 316L is a red herring and I just got lucky!

The first generation has 38mm markings, (product)red on a piece with a pin and model number MLD82AM/A (ZM/A, FE/A) on the box

Apple needs to release some pool themed colors for ya.
Had some time to take some shots of the Blues since I had a few requests after orange. Once I get in my last batch of bands I’ll take some of the ”50 shades of grey” spectrum of muted bliss.
Only one missing from the picture is Midnight Blue Gen 2 which is identical to Gen 1. Didn’t want to skew my symmetry... By far the most accurate picture overall is the last shot.
