it amazes me how quickly gen 2 classic buckles were pushed out. I guess Apple wasn’t a fan of their mashed potato bands either. Or maybe it was to make the bands stronger?

Hi guys, I need help again. I purchaised from eBay this band last week for 18€. It had no box but it was labeled as like new. It came with both parts S/M and M/L. It has the Nike brand on it, it looks and feels great, I feel no differences with the OEM sport bands I already have, everything is fine. But I have a doubt: it's supposed to be the Royal Pulse/Black Nike sport band, but it looks Blue only under direct sunlight. Indoor it looks really purple/violet, more than blue, as you can see in these pictures. So I'm asking myself: is the band legit? Do you guys have this "purple vibes" whit this band as well?

could be slightly discolored due to uv rays.

Definitely OEM. Royal Pulse is just that sort of shade of blurple.

Midnight blue 3rd gen - it's not sea blue or cosmos.

Speaking of, I sent those first gen watches to Apple. There’s no way to keep them on WatchOS 1.0 unfortunately. They’ll hopefully update them and send them back on 5.3.2, where I can actually use them. They’re still brand new though, so no scratches/scuffs and they have fresh batteries (other than sitting for 5 years) so we’ll see how they run when I get them back!

How did you go about setting up the WatchOS upgrade with Apple? Do you reckon it’s something they could do at a Genius Bar?

I’m currently negotiating with someone on eBay about an S2 Ceramic that is open box but unused/unactivated. If I can get the price down enough, I suspect I’ll have a similar problem regarding the ancient OS.

“Mashed potato” were the 1st Gen. The Gen 2 are the same as the Gen 3 just without the stitching then Gen 4 is the same as Gen 3 but with bigger buckle.
