Shipment from Chargerstore arrived today along with a solid Midnight blue I picked up from a different seller in the US. Comparison shots below. My goal is to only keep one solid and one stripe (though the stripe is going to be hard to choose).

Solids
Easy choice here for me. Midnight blue doesn’t have enough contrast with my SBSS watch. In dim lighting it looks almost identical to the solid black band I already have (and the buckle on the black band matches my watch). In bright light, the more reflective threads kind of take over and you can’t really tell what color the band is. Those reflective threads are one thing I don’t like about the solid woven nylons in general. Tahoe is the clear keeper for me here.

Stripes
Much tougher call here. The Tahoe tends to look more saturated in pictures than it actually is in person. You basically can’t tell that one of the stripes is black and the other is navy blue unless you are in bright light. The stripes as whole blend better on the Tahoe than on the Midnight. From farther away, the Tahoe reads as a dusty sky blue, whereas the Midnight has more defined blue and black stripes. The Tahoe is clearly lighter and definitely the more vibrant in bright light. Midnight’s more subdued colors might make it more versatile, though the pattern might be too similar to the black stripe band (and the color too similar to the solid Tahoe band). Not sure which one I am going to keep here. I like them both in different ways!
