I think I’ve missed some posts since I was last here, deciding if I was on a break or left for good. Due to encouragement not least from @mikedop I decided to post again - so blame him.
I think my wife and I probably picked up around 30-35 bands since my last post, but most were just making their way down here after being ordered months ago. I did have a bit of a win at the weekend however, which is really why I’m posting right now.
I scored an almost pristine S2 Hermes 44mm with a Fauve Barenia, Feu Epsom, (another) Hermes Orange SB, black Classic Buckle, Midnight Blue Nylon Buckle, silver Milanese Loop and 4 sport loops (plus 4 third party bands, but let’s not mention those). Not as big a bargain as some of you US peeps can score, but NZ$850 (about US$565) for the lot. Most look literally unworn and it dovetails nicely with my previous bands with only the Hermes SB as a double. I’ll sell that, likely with the watch.
So my questions are; I think the Milanese is genuine as it looks the same my wife’s 38mm one. Any confirming factor to check with? How do peeps clean them as it looks a bit dull. We have an ultrasonic jewellery cleaner somewhere I could try.
Also as some of you know I’ve been zero on sport loops until now. What are the ones I have, other than Electric Pink?
