I guess with all things Apple that look a bit odd, you might need to see it to be sure. For me the Leather Link, and to a lesser extent the Solo Loop, don’t grab me from the pictures I’m seeing. The Braided Loop I kinda like, but not at a 2x+ premium over the basic band price. That said I’m still no great fan of the Sport Loop, and I tried one with my S4 (and sold it with the Watch when it went), and landed three more recently. I’m wearing them for sleep, but I’m not feeling the need to use them when my eyes are open. So I don’t just think “oooh, nice” with everything Apple makes I see IRL.

Give the loop some more awake hours

Cyprus Green sport band just came … and I have massive Pacific Green flashbacks. It's much darker than I thought, one of those almost-black "colours" Apple somehow likes. I think it will go back (just like Pacific did).

Yeah one of the video reviews posted yesterday in this thread had the Cyprus green solo and I thought it was black until he said something.

I had this happen a while back with my s3 ceramic. Took to apple store, they cleaned it out etc... just as I had done. Still wouldn’t click in. They needed up sending me a new replacement band. It was the Soft white/pebble band.

I just picked up the new Nike Obsidian Mist and that won’t click in to my Series 3 SSSB either!

Cyprus feels like they should have released it last fall to coincide with with the Midnight Green iPhone 11 Pro. I'm sure it would have sold like hot cakes to owners who want to color match their watch band with their phone.

Yeah, while it doesn’t work for new users (which I expect is the actual reason) it seemed to me from straight away that a simple “hole 4 on a 44mm Sport Band is equivalent to size 10” would save a lot of returns

Perhaps one of our faithful community members can assist when they receive their solo loop by sharing a legend of sorts, along the lines you're indicating. In other words, perhaps anyone who receives a solo loop can share what pin they use alongside what size solo loop they got, and whether it matched up well!

I can't quite determine what level of "snug" is correct, so I'm going to be stuck between 10 or 11 whenever the Red braided option is available for order (PS on that note, the red-based band option delays remind me of the SBSSLB delay that was experienced with the S0 launch). I may break my no-mall-visits-since-March policy to briefly go into an Apple Store to check an actual demo piece once they have them in (or do they already as of today?).

PS In light of the SBSS AW (my personal favourite) fading into darkness, so to speak... Here's a shot of me wearing my Noir Swift (on S4 SBSS) into the wild for the first time the other day. Note how close to being too-small it is on my wrist.. which is interesting, since I fall right in the middle when it comes to the 44mm M/L sport band pin holes.

Wow! That’s much darker than we all thought it would be. Like the midnight blue of the greens. Why does Apple have something against green??

I was worried they would be the same color, but it looks like we’re safe! Still, it’s close enough to have to see it in person. Mine comes in today!

It’ll be interesting to see where Ginger fits in on the Yellow spectrum. Cyprus Green looks a bit bright here, I wonder if that’s another color that only shows itself in the sun.

Yeah I snagged a space black from Amazon after the event Tuesday before they are gone for good. I think Amazon and Walmart are the only stores in the US that still have them.

Ugh if I had a dollar for every time I have seen a picture of this band and been tempted, I would be at least half way to affording it by now 😁

That happened with my Cactus as well. Try this to get it to click in:
Slide it to where it should be correct and then firmly press the band backwards against the pin until you hear a click. You may have to hold it by your ear to hear it.

I think in the ideal scenario it would work from the beginning.

Is it just me or has Apple’s quality control on the sport bands taken a dive in the past year? I don’t recall ever hearing about OEM sport bands not clicking in or not fitting in the lug slot before the spring 2020 bands. It seems pretty common with 3rd party knockoffs. But, I don’t think I had ever heard of a genuine Apple band doing that before this year and now it seems like a fairly common occurence.

Just got my Cyprus Green Sport Band, and the rumours are true: it is incredibly dark. Could really only pick out the green tones in direct sunlight, it looks black pretty much everywhere else, so it's going back. Sad really, I was looking forward to a good green! Ah well...

Also got a Black Sport Loop; I measured a very snug 6 on the printed tool, and it fits perfectly at that size; my advice if you're on the fence is to go with a lower size than you think you need. This will probably be my go-to band for workouts. Feels great on the wrist, and pretty easy to get on and off, so that was a nice surprise after the disappointment with Cyprus Green.

Cancelled my bands ordered. Obisidian mist looks a little too close to Celestial teal. The new nike green/light green looks kind of iffy as well.

I noticed my long CLOSED apple store has in store pickups today so I cancelled my delivery and will pickup my Graphite/Milanese loop watch at the store today. woohoo! Looks like my dream watch!

The Hermes single tour L bands are 195mm, compared to 210mm for most other L bands. That's pretty tight for me, which is why I have never purchased an authentic one (even though I really wanted a Noir) and gone with replicas since I have been able to find them at 210-220m and they fit much better (and with the replicas, I can cut the silver lugs and replace them with Space Black to match my SBSS S4).
