Thank you for creating this.
It was a bit hard to find, but a coffee is on its way. Shut up and take my money and all that.

• Would be nice if one could use the wish list in some market conjuncion?
• Not sure if it's doable, but i'd love to get help from my phone camera and your app to find out which of all my blue bands is "Delft", "Linen" etc. ;)

Thank you! Greatly appreciated!

We thought a lot about how we can help you to add (and identify) bands. Camera is very difficult and also not helpful, because it all depends on the lightning around you and the shades are really hard to tell apart sometimes, as we know. We had the idea of a barcode scanner, but this doesnt work worldwide really well. :/ But we don't give up yet!

Hey !
I have just a small questions for you, the experts !

I have bought the following orange band for 12 bucks, and I will receive it early next week. Which color is it ? Standard Orange ? Let me know your thoughts .:)

If Mike is right (and I trust his Rainman ability to clock the sport band lugs) I would say it’s too hot to be Peach. But then again the two bands in the middle look like they might be hotter than irl so perhaps you really scored.

Only other one from the old style it could be is Apricot, which I have no familiarity with. Seems too light to be pink.

I want to eat this Plum SL:

Apricot, that’s the one I was thinking of. Very close to pink in marketing pics.

Thank you for your inputs. I do not want to take the risk to have another ”peach variant” in my collection... I already have it. I’ve said to the seller to ship the band on the left (at first sight it should be hibiscus I hope)

A random Generator (don’t know of this is the Correct english wird) for Bandbreite App will ne nice. It will choose a Band by luck. For the day. And when there is an possibility to Dokument Joa offen you wear a Band.

Looks like Sport Loops were planned for this year’s Olympics (from l0vetodream)...

Makes sense I guess, just not sure why they are being dumped. Could be they somehow follow the 2-tone theme as was the norm at the time themOlympics were scheduled? Hard to know from that one pic of ¼ of a band.

OMG. I didn't know this app (or this thread) existed! I currently own around 20 (edit: so I went and counted them) 25* bands, and they keep coming! I'm so glad I can have them nicely listed in this beautiful app!

Thank you so much for sharing this with the community. 5 stars!

*26 when I receive my Nike S6 on Monday.

Welcome. We were all like you once*. My advice would be leave now before you get sucked in. Of,course you won’t and it that case; awesome, another bandaholic!

*I found this thread less than a year ago with 26 bands, I now have 99 and that’s only because I only called Sport Bands (and the Nike’s versions), and it doesn’t include my wife’s smaller size bands. She has 77 now, up from around 20. I’m comfortable with either one of us having a band and counting it as collected, but we do have a number of doubles in colours we both wanted.

What are peoples' thoughts on toasted coffee/caramel with space grey?

My personal take on Toasted Coffee / Caramel is a hard no. It’s too close to skin tone for me (and I say that with almost pure Scottish heritage, so my natural skin tone is pale blue). I bought it as it was cheap in box locally so with cheap shipping - I just realised a legitimate yoink in fact - I pretty much grab anything like that as it’s so unusual. I wore it once and hated it. YMMV of course and I think if you can look past the buckle being silver it would be fine with SG.

First off, welcome!

You’re probably going to get a range of opinions as to whether that band is worth that money. For me personally, no. I only pick up bands that I would actually wear and wouldn’t pay extra for a marking nobody can see when the band is on my wrist. But, there are plenty of serious band collectors who frequent this thread who probably have a different point of view.

At the end of the day, only you can decide if the band is worth that money to you or not. Do be careful here, as there are some real pushers in this thread! You may find your collection unexpectedly doubling in size in no time! 😂

While I’m probably in the camp described above with Sport Bands now, I have resisted getting the Edition ones that are the same colour as a regular band save the inside until now (and now I’m buying the watches and bands for those).

That said the Hermes orange is not the same as any regular orange SB, so the inside of the pin is not the only way to tell it’s a Hermes. There was a discussion some months back in which I maintained I believe Apple are commercially prevented (both by contract and to avoid cannibalising sales of the premium Hermes Watch) from making a regular orange that is close to the Hermes shade so long as their partnership continues - and possibly for some time after if Hermes is smart.

Lastly it is, at least to my eye, the purest orange available. It isn’t always the orange I choose when I wear orange, because I will match the shade to something else I am wearing. If you want pure orange, or only one orange in your collection IMO it’s the one to have though; all the others tend toward the pink or the red or the yellow.

I will also bow to the godlike knowledge of the Great Dop, however @mikedop - could you explain what I’m looking for in the old vs new lug design, and I’m just not, seeing the difference

It’s really had to say from that photo. As Mr Bands pointed out the colour is pretty saturated. Given how disappointed I was with it IRL when it arrived though, I could even go Dragon Fruit for that one second from the right. That said my Hibiscus is still on the way so I have yet to see it IRL, and the pink to orange spectrum is my wife’s domain so I’m not super familiar with the subtleties.

The sport bands that began shipping in fall 2018 have the ever-so-slightly rounder curve of the s4+ body design but I do not have the self belief to pick it out in photos. I guess one could just always have a sport band handy to plop down on one’s screen.

$71 Atlantic Blue braid yoink...nice to have it in exactly my size...

Can anyone tell me what's the name of the second band from left? I have exactly the same, bought it a while ago but am not sure which one it is. I'd say Azure but not quite sure...

Thanks. I’ll try again. When I both a 42mm and a 44mm stamped Hermes in my possession a few weeks ago I compared them as I thought it would take colour out of the equation. Nada to my eye though.

Ooh, I think I see the diff between the “maybe Peach or Apricot” and the “maybe Hibiscus or Dragon Fruit“, but I have zero confidence I could do it again.

Does the “maybe Azure” have the old lug style?

Thank you for your welcoming words ! :) I'm afraid it's indeed too late for me :D I'm so happy to have found this topic!

My collection is mostly Sport Bands, but I got 7 Woven Nylon bands, too. I have just bought my first Sport Loop (Plum) together with the Atlantic Blue braided Solo loop which I love!

And this is what Bandbreite.app says about me ;)

But of course none of this is relevant if you have a shot of the inside pin strap. It’s also difficult to make out, and I can sometimes guess wrong.

With a delivery yesterday from a well-known enabler from the Eastern hemisphere our combined collection is now Nike Band complete. “Regular” bands are also very close, and mostly it’s the Watch exclusive ones left to chase down.

To that end I figured getting SB complete might not be expensive enough, so why not up the ante and make a new rule that the band only counts if I have the Watch it came with too*? I encourage the rest of you to join me in this fun side event.

So I just pulled the trigger on a Grey Ceramic S3. I think I got it for a good price and it has all the fruit it came with. Of course shipping and the sales tax that gets levied on all low value imports now, but hey; so long as all those local retailers selling ceramic Edition Watches are on a level playing field with the ones overseas that’s what matters, right?

*I’m only part serious. The Light Bone / Black doesn’t need its buddy Watch, and I have no desire for a Hermes in SBSS.
I’m in a very similar situation - all SB, NSB and Nylon covered between my Wife and I. I’m thinking of getting all the S3 variants, mainly so I can justify the Grey/Black band in my collection.

Also, just to have an SS and SBSS for not too much cash, but still supported for a few more WatchOS versions. Finding the ceramic grey is going to be a toughie though.

Titanium doesn’t really do it for me, but I should have a GSS S6 turn up at some point when my carrier gets the stock in that they claimed to have on launch day....

42mm lug shape. My money is on Royal Blue. Got any pics of your own?
It's indeed a 42mm lug (I now almost talk like an expert, thanks to your explanation couple posts earlier :D)
I will take a pic tomorrow by daylight, and yes, Royal Blue is very close but looks flashier to me than what I have. Maybe Denim Blue?

Royal (left) vs. Denim (right)... Denim has more of a green tint and is slightly darker.

Thanks very much for this education. I would not have spotted that on my own.
