There are definitely two generations. They even have two different model numbers. Gen 1 was from Spring 2015n it has more of a yellow-ish tint and has a similar hue to Shiek’s skin tone. I used to think it was the ugliest shade of green ever. Gen 2 was released sometime in 2016. It is lighter and creamier in color. My Apple store friends and I nicknamed it ”Pistachio” Green. That is all what it kind of reminds us of. Gen 1 on the other hand got nicknames like “Shrek”, ”Puke” and “Snot”. I used to have both model numbers written down some where. Hopefully still on one of my old PC backup HDD’s. I wonder if the notes are still up on the walls of the break room at my local store?
You mean Mint?

Lemon cream seems to be the best match, here’s pollen on watch and then your combo, mellow yellow on left. I don’t have ginger and canary yellow fwiw.

Thank you very much!!!
I love the Pollen 😭😭😭. I want it now. I’m looking for it but it is difficult.

You think that Lemon Cream band matches better with Mango watch face than Pollen then huh

Agreed on the Mint assessment. There was never a “2nd” generation of green. Closest would be Mint. Chargerstore is our buddy but he has been known to mislabel/add in additional erroneous naming conventions in the past.

My two "Gen 1 Blue" sport bands from Chargestore, which look nothing alike, agree with this comment.

While I can’t disagree with any of that, and he has Flat Silver / White as Light Grey / White as well as getting Blue1 and 2 reversed in photos (to my eye; I didn’t get my Blue 2 from him for that reason), I got my Mint from Chargie so he does know what Mint is

The SM band of my Obsidian Mist sport band is definitely "tighter" to fit into both my S5 Ceramic and S4 SSS, but still does click in. Even though I haven't received anything I've had to return as of yet, I really hope Apple gets a grip on this QC issue before the next band season. It's disheartening that $59 Apple originals are fitting about as reliably as $5 AliExpress knockoffs.
My pride 2020 which I’ve purchased earlier this year has yet to be opened, and I’m worried if they will fit. If they don’t fit will Apple do an exchange for something that’s past the 14 day return period, does anyone know?

Nope... you can’t return/exchange past the 14 days unless something drastic happens, like the pin falling out. When I tried to exchange mine within the 14 day period the employee thought it was just the material causing friction and was hesitant to even exchange them, so I don’t think you can do anything other than sell it.

Here’s a very quick Pollen / Mango shot before work. I’m seeing Mango way too rich for even Pollen on my S5. OG Yellow or more likely Canary look closer to this shot.View attachment 966997
Thank you very much!
That’s very useful.
I’m actually seeing some pics compro g the pollen with canary and ginger. They say it is very similar. But in pics I see it very similar lemonade too, which is the one I have. I guess I’ll try ginger and see how is fits and if it’s different enough to keep it.
Thank you very much again.

Yep, but my wife wasn't so desperate to rip the boxes open and get at her bands than I was!

What can I say... I didn't even know 'pinky-orange/orangey-pink' was a thing until I started collecting watch bands. Somebody at Apple seems to love that combo though - I can't help thinking that after seeing the ginger/canary photos above, Cupertino are really starting to bang out cover versions of their greatest hits...

Here we go... Original Pink at the top, then Pink Citrus, then Nectarine, then Clementine at the bottom. Indirect light and then sunlight. I would have pulled out a few more to compare, but I'm paranoid that I'll get them confused and put the spare parts back in the wrong boxes...

In my eyes, Nectarine is the closest.

You need to add the Apricot, to have the whole collection of Coral/brick ish colors . Thank you very much for the comparison.

OG Yellow kinda day here.

Thinking about going back to the local Apple store to catch a blue braided loop.

Wonder when we'll get wOS 7.1?
Did anyone notice better battery with the last update?

I definitely notice a battery improvement with this last update. - Series 5 w/ 92% battery health I'm seeing 3-5 more hours of standby

California Poppy Leather Link (yes the magnets hold tight; the polarity only works one way, only the bottom of the longer piece magnetizes; the edges of the lugs where the leather changes color looks worse in photo than irl)

How does it feel on your wrist compared to the leather loop?

Literally zero creaking because the pills don’t slide or bend and are spaced at a more frequent/precise interval. I would say lighter but hard to compare because this is a 40mm and I prob won’t buy any 44mm until I inherit the graphite.

When you finger the band on wrist the leather has much more give and flex, it’s thinner and not stuffed with the mashed potatoes like the Leather Loop and it makes it feel more premium and organic at the same time even though the look is so Kubrick 2001.

I definitely won’t crave the pills look 100% of the time but there’s no question as to which child is the more Watch-like.

And something tells me they will be very aggressive blessing the newborn with colors people actually want. Insane they’ve never released a tangerine/amber/pumpkin sport band, that Yellow is the warmest sport band we’ve gotten and that was ten centuries ago.

I will say it does have weird black specks I was noticing on my NIB sunset yesterday that only show in medium-low light.

Haha thanks for the deets!

Yeah I just don’t know if I can get past the looks haha.

The leather loop just looks so sexy.
