Literally zero creaking because the pills don’t slide or bend and are spaced at a more frequent/precise interval. I would say lighter but hard to compare because this is a 40mm and I prob won’t buy any 44mm until I inherit the graphite.

When you finger the band on wrist the leather has much more give and flex, it’s thinner and not stuffed with the mashed potatoes like the Leather Loop and it makes it feel more premium and organic at the same time even though the look is so Kubrick 2001.

I definitely won’t crave the pills look 100% of the time but there’s no question as to which child is the more Watch-like.

And something tells me they will be very aggressive blessing the newborn with colors people actually want. Insane they’ve never released a tangerine/amber/pumpkin sport band, that Yellow is the warmest sport band we’ve gotten and that was ten centuries ago.

I will say it does have weird black specks I was noticing on my NIB sunset yesterday that only show in medium-low light.View attachment 967120
So, what’s your prediction? Do the leather links spell the end of the line for the leather loop similar to how the arrival of the sport loop heralded the end of the woven nylon line? Seems like the leather loop and leather link are too similar in design and looks to coexist for long.

If these are successful, the leather loop is dead by next fall.

Just bought the Cyprus Green sport band.
I honestly feel this less softer than other bands.
Here are some pics and comparisons

OG Yellow kinda day here.

Thinking about going back to the local Apple store to catch a blue braided loop.

Wonder when we'll get wOS 7.1?
Did anyone notice better battery with the last update?

My wife's S5 40mm was dying around 8pm on the original 7. The first update got her through to bedtime with low power warning, but the latest has her back to parity with my 44mm - both had 42% around 8pm yesterday

I'm wearing Dark Navy today and it felt really stiff and hard when I was putting it on. I haven't noticed so much with Cyprus, but if I hadn't got it from Apple direct I'd be thinking is could be fake.

I got mine directly from the Apple store too. Maybe they need to mix a bit the plastic composition to get that color.

Braided Solo Loop PRODUCT Red available for sale now at apple.com

Delivery date for now in my size (7) Oct 23
Crazy the 40mm ships in December...guess I ”wanted” it in 44mm all along. Did anyone manage to get an early date for 40mm?

edit: and 2am/11pm the store is down! Wow what a weird way to do it

Leather Loop and Modern Buckle are gone by Fall 2021. I wonder if they maybe have seen my glowing reviews and maybe shorten that timeline and shirtcan the spring colors they surely planned just to be safe.

Diver Blue, Pink Citrus, and Garnet are such derivative (almost insultingly so) colors for those lines, it screams “we want these bands six feet under with the classic buckles.”

Here’s a very quick Pollen / Mango shot before work. I’m seeing Mango way too rich for even Pollen on my S5. OG Yellow or more likely Canary look closer to this shot.View attachment 966997

I tried with the others , but none matched perfectly . Now I’mthinking To buy the Pollen or the Ginger one. In some pics they look indentical? But in others the pollen looks warmer.
what frightens me is that they are too similar to Lemonade, which is the one I have that I see more similar

Leather loops need one final crazy color to go out with a bang.

it’s hard to predict what they’ll do, but I would advise anyone that prefers the old Leather Loop to get one sooner than later. You don’t have to go with the new thing just cuz it’s the new thing, when Modern Buckle replaced Classic Buckle in 2018, I was like eww there’s no way I’m buying that, it’s hideous, the Classic Buckle it replaced was so much better

Either way, it was never fair or a good look that Leather Loop never came in a 38/40mm size, it’s kind of divisive actually especially reading on this forum and elsewhere for years comments along the lines of “the leather loop style looks so good why doesn’t it come in 38/40mm :( “. And thing is, those that are born with very small wrists can’t really get the 44mm without it looking very off/oversized on their wrist. The Leather Link keeps a very similar look while fixing the mentioned size issue. Size exclusive bands are an arbitrary concept and the sooner it goes, the better.

this is really gorgeous, thanks for sharing :) The pills actually don’t look that prominent at all here And I think it pairs well with your Ceramic Watch.

if only both Apple stores had stock, even demos to try on, as well as actual reasonable shipping times, I’m not sure why this band still has such a huge delay, that would be great!

If you want different to Lemonade then get Pollen. Until Ginger all the yellows were different enough that I could tell them apart without having to compare them against one another. Ginger is closest to Canary to my eye, but just a bit “fresher”, Lemonade being a fresher yellow than Canary.

I said when I got it as the last of the (at that time) seven yellows that Canary was the one to get if you only get one (like Hermes is the one orange if you only get one of those), but Ginger might now be the one to get - certainly as long as it’s current it is. That said if you have Lemonade already then Pollen is a good complement and more different than Ginger for sure.

Tomorrow I’ll go to the Apple store to check if they have the ginger on display, cause they don’t have it on stock. In some pics Ginger looks identical to Pollen (and canary as well), like in this pic.
And since Pollen is difficult to find nowadays I was thinking in this one.

Outdoor picture in same order, canary, ginger and pollen.

Not really enough difference to keep Ginger.

Yeah I wear the third sport band hole on S/M and on Hermes I use the second (sometimes third) hole from the lugs (opposite end of where I pin the sport band).

Got my California Poppy today, and discovered there is no matching (by name at least) watch face color? I usually sport Numerals Duo, and change its color when I change band. I'm guessing the colors I can choose from are Sport band matches? Any suggestion as to what would be a good CaliPop match? Papaya is the closest I've found, but I'm no designer.

Given that Yellow is the warmest sport band (and doesn’t work), I actually ended up with Light Orange, which they still haven’t made into a band. And then the Dark Titanium also worked really nicely, I have it on the gold watch upthread, typograph face. Mango might eventually feel right but today it just was too bright.
