My yoink Product Red 38mm SB arrived and indeed it is Gen 1 ! I love it and for $13 I am thrilled! Unworn too!
Me too! I’ve started to just pull randomly from the pile and wear whichever one gets lucky. Yellow was today’s band, but it was looking a bit discolored so I gave it a wash...Today is my first full day wearing OG yellow and I could just wear this band forever. I MUCH prefer it to pollen which now feels weak.

I don’t understand - the seller sold an OG yellow sport band but used Hermes delivery? What is Hermes delivery, if that’s not a stupid question? Or is your OG yellow band a Hermes band? So many questions - maybe it’s because I haven’t had my tea yet.I got a great deal on an OG yellow and was so looking forward to receiving it last week but the seller used Hermes delivery..... I received notice from Hermes that they had “damaged the strap beyond repair and would not be delivering it” 😩
In Europe there is a delivery service called “Hermes”. Nothing common with HERMÈS fashion brand.I don’t understand - the seller sold an OG yellow sport band but used Hermes delivery? Uh, never heard about it. I had to google it. It's apparently something in the UK.In Europe there is a delivery service called “Hermes”. Nothing common with HERMÈS fashion brand.
Oh nice!My ebay Hermès cuff arrived, it looks and feels genuine (and cost 600usd with import taxes) buttery soft and nice patina. I suspect it has had two previous users, looking at the buckle marks on the band

Amazing collection, and personally I appreciate the absence of leather too!Got a bit bored with work earlier on, so took an indulgent (but quick and dirty) collection shot. It's a composite, with the last three columns tacked on after the flip of the 'pages' in the storage wallets, hence the bands not all being in 'Rainbow' order. Some colour coding, as follows:
Orange - 42/44mm Sport Bands and Metal
Red - 42/44mm Woven Nylon & Nike
Green - All the 38/40mms
181 in total, with one more in the post. At the beginning of May, I had 15...
Just waiting to move house so I have the room for a better storage/display solution.

Hermes is a courier company, and the selling app that I bought the strap from, the seller thought it easier to send via Hermes rather than the post which I knew was gonna be mistake but even I was shocked when they said they had damaged it beyond repair, never mind.I don’t understand - the seller sold an OG yellow sport band but used Hermes delivery? That sucks. I wonder what that even means in reality.Hermes is a courier company, and the selling app that I bought the strap from, the seller thought it easier to send via Hermes rather than the post which I knew was gonna be mistake but even I was shocked when they said they had damaged it beyond repair, never mind.
Well I know from experience they are pretty blasé about losing stuff and will usually just say we lost it so for them to have damaged it beyond repair god only knows what they were doing with it. So back on the hunt for OG yellow. Thanks for the clarification. I didn’t realize that.

I’ve received a few things successfully via Hermes, but the only thing I have ever sent using them was a rather nice Fractal Design PC case from an old Hackintosh. Despite being well boxed up and wrapped in a mile and a half of bubble wrap, it arrived with the buyer literally in pieces - he was only able to recover the fans.I got a great deal on an OG yellow and was so looking forward to receiving it last week but the seller used Hermes delivery..... My local Hermes courier is great but over the years Hermes has “lost” 3 pairs of boots each priced at £165, bedlinen sets, big clothes orders to name a few but they outdid themselves this time, not even sure how you damage beyond repair a sport band other than taking a pair of scissors to them 🤨😆I’ve received a few things successfully via Hermes, but the only thing I have ever sent using them was a rather nice Fractal Design PC case from an old Hackintosh. Hermes paid out on the insurance claim, but still a really bad experience!
Good grief. Do they even pay back the losses? My local Hermes courier is great but over the years Hermes has “lost” 3 pairs of boots each priced at £165, bedlinen sets, big clothes orders to name a few but they outdid themselves this time, not even sure how you damage beyond repair a sport band other than taking a pair of scissors to them 🤨😆
I would think the seller has had to file a compensation claim but it will be quite some time before she gets her money back. I got my money refunded by the go between who do not pay the seller until the item is received, it’s just a shame all around really.Good grief. Do they even pay back the losses?
A few pages too late for such a cursed post but figured I’d share my experience. Bought a classic buckle planning to swap out the silver hardware for black. I thought with a 4th gen band that had a post running through the leather, I could remove the buckle and replace it as well. Turns out I way underestimated how much Apple really does not want anyone modifying their bands.
End result: total failure, do not attempt. I’m mainly sad that I ruined the band. Saddle brown was such a nice color and there are so few classic buckles left out there in new/good condition. Really bummed that I ruined the band and now nobody can use it. If you want matching hardware, you are better off buying a 3rd gen CB and either dealing with the silver buckle or painting it.
- Tried using a spring bar tool to detach the buckle. But, the buckle does not use a standard spring bar (nowhere for the tool to grab onto). In retrospect, I really should have seen that one coming. Apple never uses standard parts.
- Then decided to try cutting the buckle off where the spring loaded bar meets the metal square. The first pair of nippers I tried was too soft to cut through the bar and I ended up damaging them. Ordered a pair of tungsten carbide clippers and was able to cut the bar with ease.
- Went to push the bar through the leather only to discover Apple had freaking glued it into the leather.
- My last resort was to try cutting the bar again in the middle where the tongue is to see if I could remove it piecemeal. Turns out the bar is thicker there than it was where it attached to the metal square. So, not only did I damage the leather but I also broke my clippers.
Also, what the heck Apple!?
