UltraViolet still wins for me though.

wow you are right that is literally eggplant 🤦‍♂️okay but what about for a sportband ;)

okay next to that it looks maroon...apple and their mysterious color palettes
I’m thinking the decade starting in a few months might kick off a sort of optimistic primary color palette like I wanna say the 1990s gave us after the day-glo 80s. I guess we’ll know with the Pantone fall fashion week trendcast. For better or worse Apple aligns with those colors, sometimes half a year early. Semi related, today’s Hyper Grape and its matching styrofoam cup are pretty 90s right?

So I was hoping today I would
1) Get my Winter 2020 collection
2) Get Big Sur installed and play with it for a bit.

But UPS never came, and Apple had an afternoon that I’m sure is going to be dissected forever on sites like this, so I’m havng a very successful day, needless to say.

On the plus side, the ever so subtle hint of Pebble from underneath Soft White today.

Just received the “no markings Light Bone / Black Nike Sport Band” from chargerstore. The pin has the NikeLab markings indeed.

Also, the light bone (left) color is actually quite different from desert sand (middle) and pure platinum (right):

Doin good, buddy? Hadn't heard from you in a while!

As seems to be traditional now, bright sunshine in my study for Band Delivery Day!

Looks a lot like Aston Villa Claret and Blue at the top of that shot. I'm liking Plum. Ours have made it to the Wellington DHL depot for Monday delivery. Possibly could go and get them, but I have a 12 Pro Max to play with when I finish work

If I could just slip in those Hermes/gold pin pics from @Pitch (we miss you!)

I didn't realise it was regular gold you were talking about. I thought there was one I didn't have for a day or two and I was trying not to care... :)

My hyper grape never seems to look this good. It just looks kind of dull to me!

I like the looks of the obsidian mist/black Nike band. I have never owned a Nike band but they would seem to be flimsy in comparison to the regular sport bands. Are they? Covid fears keep me away from retail stores.

I'm wearing Obsidian Mist / Black right now. The Nikes if anything are more consistent than the Sport Bands in my view, and I have all of them between mine and my wife's.

That isn't to say a couple (stand up Obsidian (non-Mist) / Black and Anthracite / Black) feel a little hard and are slightly shinier than I'd like, but definitely none feel flimsy. Obsidian Mist is actually one of the best; flexible and matte but not wibbly.

I think in general with all the fluoroelastomer bands the darker colours (as opposed to black and dark greys) have a tendency to be stiffer and more brittle feeling whereas the light colours like Flash can feel very thin and flexible.

Ginger Solo Loop! In the afternoon sun

Figured that Solo Loop is technically more secure for swimming than the Sports Band (especially at the beach where you may have strong tidal waves) due to the lack of “pin and holes enclosure” and to me otherwise looks like the best choice for swimming, so went ahead and picked the colour I liked the most.

As for the colour itself, I feel it’s more like a spring or summer colour which I love, I would like to see Apple come out with a California Poppy shade yellow, something more dark-mustard like

Received my Plum today. I love it. It's very hard to get the colour right in a photo though, I'm here taking photos of it and no matter how many I take they come out lighter and not as warm as the actual colour on my wrist is.

In real life the colour is warmer, redder and a bit darker.

On this picture you can see the difference between cactus and northern lights quite well. But I’m not sure if it’s enough to be worth it to me...

You burn a sh*t ton of calories.

When you’re in lockdown and have no need to match your clothes to your watch...the only thing left to do is match your watch to your kitchen utensils. And with that, I give you the rarely seen Black/Hyper Jade scissors.

And a slightly more regular shot, of course.

Partly to differentiate the watch cases in each photo but also, because bands do look different with different jumpers/sweaters. So... yep 🤓

That. And I’ve got all the time in the world at the moment 🙈
Keep doing the jumper photos, absolutely love the look! I like seeing how they look with colours and styles I wear.

My Solo Loops came in as well.

Plum is very, very awesome, a super rich bordeaux colour with a tiny hint of purple. A keeper for sure.

Kumquat is indeed the purest orange we got, quite close to Papaya, but more yellow and without that slight reddish hue. A keeper as well and Papaya will probably have to go, being so similar but slightly worse.

Northern Blue is very subdued, to the point that I would call it boring. Going by memory, it looks like a paler, duller Denim (which I sold a while ago as I never picked it to wear over all of the other blues I have). This one will go back to Apple.

After 3-4 weeks waiting time, Cyprus Solo Loop coincidentally also came today. I had this one as a Sport Band (before I discovered the absolute awesomeness of a correctly fitting Solo Loop) and sent it back for being almost-black, i.e. too dark. The Solo Loop is also very dark, but, going by memory again, it seems more vibrant than the Sport Band as I can in relatively low indoor light still make out that this band is indeed green and not black. Outdoors it looks pretty great. I‘ll keep it.

Hahaha I've been too busy lately... no worries! The new chart is coming soon, I promise!

Haha, that’s awesome. How close do they match?

Your “regular” shot looks great. Every picture I see of this band makes me wish it came to life!
