Shuuuusssh!! 😅

Sadly I think the tongue would come up too close to the watch if I did that...

I see, that is a good reason/excuse 😉 I use the last hole myself and the tongue is pretty high up already. At least that gives me a good reason/excuse to ignore the two-tone Hermès bands as I would hardly see one of the colours on the wrist anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Can anyone actually know what color fire really is though? Does one want to even pin down that which is the essence of the soul thusly? Does own dare walk on the precipice between life and death?

Can somebody tell me which Band this is couldnt find it at Bandbreite.View attachment 1681014

I know I late in the game here, but to clarify: It is indeed the Hermès Feu Epsom Leather Single Tour.

Maybe I should add a second gen to the database in orange, similar to Anémone Swift Leather, since the 2016 version is slightly different from the winter/2018 version. Both are mentioned in the band description in the app, but the image reflects the more red 1st gen only.

Are you sure the colour actually changed? I never heard of that before.

Thanks to everyone, I update the database with more information and the latest image.

Ah, that must’ve been what threw me off. I was sure the colors looked different!

Feu Epsom and Orange Swift are different colours and different leathers. As colour and leather are the only differentiation available in Hermes single tour bands, other than black or silver hardware I guess, I don't see any justification for calling Orange Swift a second generation of Feu Epsom or otherwise linking the two.

There would be more justification in calling a Kumquat Sport Band "second generation Vitamin C" - at least they are made of the same material.

Feu is a redder orange than the Orange Swift. I have Feu and it's pretty close to the OG Orange Sport Band. As I understand it Orange Swift is close to the Hermes Orange Sport Band. Lots of you will be able to visualise the difference between the two SB colours and you'll know they aren't even close to the same. Nobody would have trouble telling one from the other in isolation, never mind side by side. With Epsom having a very pronounced leather grain and Swift being almost totally smooth the leather is also very different.

All that said I have personally chosen so far not to buy an Orange Swift since I have a Feu Epsom, but that's more to do with the cost of Hermes being enough that I'd rather have a totally different colour if I buy another than another shade of orange. I am tempted to buy an Orange Swift Attelage however as it has a different style as well as being a different shade of orange and different leather.

And having mentioned Attelage I now realise my statement about there being only three differentiators for Hermes single tour bands was wrong...

i have to disagree on this one. From memory, the OG orange was much more reddish than the Feu, which is why I sold it. I still have the Feu and would describe it as a “burnt orange“; it‘s not very red to my eyes at all.

But the question that arose was if there were/are maybe two different generations of Feu bands, one more reddish than the other ...

I can only judge by the images. And they look slightly different. But happy to see some photos to proof if there's anyone with the 2016 version of the band.
Well Feu me! The iterated the jawn! Makes sense they did have it in the lineup forever. Unedited from camera, chronological order. 42mm/40mm. 40mm (right) less saturated and bright. Both bands still fire, so to speak.

Awesome write up. Thanks! I wasn’t really aware of the Hermès materials/leathers/colors. And now I know.

Realized I only have 9 watches plus a redundant series 4 silver stainless. Needed to leave one pod empty anyway.

The blue mat is so nice for that store experience when I change out five bands (now seven, as the un-paired watches on far right get to play dress-up every night too, now). Even have the matching cloth courtesy of @mikedop

Absolutely love this. I meant to ask if the cloth matches, but sure enough, it does!

Really awesome that you got these two, and your frien- er, Santa... must have a few of his own somewhere.

Does it have a battery in it? Where’s the charge port?

Thing is pretty heavy. Couldn’t get it to register on my bathroom scale but let’s say it’s 10 pounds?

First of all, this is insanely awesome. Second of all, as if I wasn‘t jealous enough already, you just had to put my Unobtainium, the Hermès Lime, on one of the Watches, didn‘t you? And last of all, how the f*** does this charge the Watches?

I had to make the Hermes choice pop after I went default-boring pack-in band for every other watch. Luckily since @jeremyfernie took the Midnight Fog that came with my s3 Nike, I got to pinch-hit with Hyper Grape, anachronism and all.
