Gorgeous band just arrived.

Right. I said I wouldn’t get anymore bands for a while. Then plum came along, then the ‘one’ band I had been after for a while came up. Hyper Crimson/Neptune Green.

Very striking colour indeed! A shot of it on my Graphite.

Followed by a few close ups. Hope they look alright, for some reason once transferred to my 12 Pro they seem to have a weird tint, and it’s not the easiest band to faithfully replicate the colour of as it is!

It’s very nice! Hadn’t seen it on eBay for a while (I wish I’d been in ‘band mode’ when it was in the shops) then grabbed this one for just barely over retail last week. The next day, Chargie put one up slightly cheaper. Typical 🙈 this was a U.K. seller though so at least it arrived in a couple days 👍

I think the running theory is that he knows someone who works there or used to work there.

Although a few weeks ago I expressed my doubts on the authenticity of the 42/44mm Hermes orange sport band in S/M. But the rest he’s offering seems genuine to me.

So the story is, among the other pie in the sky ideas that ended up being overthinking for S0, is that the watch would be so popular that they would need to move these around the store because so many customers would be clamoring to try them out. Hence MagSafe 2 for power.

Although a few weeks ago I expressed my doubts on the authenticity of the 42/44mm Hermes orange sport band in S/M. But the rest he’s offering seems genuine to me.

I assume you are coming from a position of speculation. On the other hand I have a Hermes orange band that came from Hermes with a watch, and I also have a S/M 44mm Chargie Hermes section that came with a Black Pin Hermes orange band from him. They are indistinguishable.

Given that there are no good fake fluroelastomer bands available anywhere else that anyone here has ever found, I think it’s safe to accept they are made in the same factory with the same materials and molds as the released bands. Whether they were made for Apple and not released or made by the factory unofficially may be up for debate, but they are still genuine.

I don’t think I have any more retail detail but I spent a good thirty minutes getting the ancient plastic wrap off every inch of the thing last night and will try to get 10 watches in there today after early turkey. You will have to forgive the redundancy of two silver stainless watches, albeit S0 and S4.

I will say the outside feels ultra premium. Like the ultimate matte plastic (polycarbonate?) that makes you wonder if it’s ceramic for a second. And it does have an entire engraving in the felt that makes up the underside, as if it were any other Prod

Recently I sold a milanese band of my collection - now the buyer contacted me and told me that he thinks that the band is not an Apple original band. I always thought that it is original and therefore I also sold it as such. Can you help me to identify whether it is original or 3rd party.

The whole ... thing just sounds and looks delicious. I have not the slightest clue how one would go about obtaining this, but if I could, that would be reason enough for me to start collecting Watches also (and not only bands). Which I have never considered before.

Nope, that’s a fake. Silver buttons, no engraving, and a silver magnet are pretty good giveaways.
