Celestial teal loop just got delivered today. My first Nike sport loop and loving it!
I know we all buy SS for the case material, but having done so I think the sapphire screen is actually the better part of the upgrade considering how much shinier it look and that it is scratch resistant. I scratched both of the Al Watch screens I used every day but I have never marked an SS's screen using three of them in exactly the same way, the first for over twice as long as the rest.View attachment 1707867

My God, is it me or the SS screen is so much Brighter? Feels like a completely different watch from my Nike Series 6

It's a full release from Summer '17 and a personal favourite of mine. Unfortunately it has a tendency to look a bit shinier than I like, much like the current Deep Navy Sport Band, which is probably the closest Apple blue we have seen to Obsidian. I assume something in the process of making fluoroelastomer in that shade (and some other dark ones like Cyprus Green) results in a harder, stiffer and more easily buffed band.

Yeah, we snagged that in 38 to have it in our overall collection as it was available for less and every time I look at it I want it in 42 so I can wear it. It's also from Summer '17 which had to be the best single Nike SB drop IMO, along with Light Violet / White and Violet Dust / Plum Fog.
I see the Pacific, but where is the Green? 😉
This was a special release to honor those with blue/green color confusion! Seriously though I just got this band from Chargie a few months ago and I’m dying to take it to dog beach after quarantine because it really does match the ocean later in the day. Here’s a few snaps of mine sans band for now. You can kinda see now there’s Pacific Green next to Pacific Blue in the dog one. I really want a goo band in the lighter green you get from the Mavericks wallpaper, wave green I think I’ve named it in concept:

It’s incredible how well it matches the Navy bg face! It certainly looks nothing like the Pacific Green face, which is much lighter, I guess for legibility reasons.
Top one is in sunlight and bottom near sunlight but not direct. I also included Alaskan as that looks to be the closest on the wall - noting my wall is (deliberately) far away from sunlight so it's difficult to be certain.
Photos from a 12 Pro Max with colour saturation turned down slightly to make it more like my eye sees (but not in ProRAW). I'd still say that IRL the MT has more green than the photos show, and the proto is much more like a darker Alaskan. Edit - post below has more representative colours.

Wow - and to think I wasn't all that excited to get this one initially.
It's sitting on the table in front of me right now, and I have to say I really like it. A lot of the Nike's we've had are spoiled by a little twist of extra colour - Obsidian Mist is a case in point - it's a nice, light grey but with a hint of mauve that makes it clash with light gray clothing. Magnet Gray / Anthracite is a much better combo IMO. Same for Royal Pulse which has a hint of purple that makes it clash with light blues.
This one is a straight up greyish blue (does Air Force blue mean anything to US readers, or is that a UK thing based on the RAF uniforms colour?) with a straight up brighter (I still think possibly Gamma Blue) hole that would work with straight up blue clothing.
I’m imagining you just sitting at the table staring at the band.
