Correct there’s no room for it, right?The insert doesn’t flip open like the Edition boxes, I don’t think.
I was thinking back to the Series 2 when they first started offering the orange band as an extra. That insert was only a bifold.
Back then it was probably that rounded square that usually holds the S/M? Maybe it had two cut-outs. To YouTube!
It was definitely that - I bought an S2 Hermes a few months ago for the Fauve Barenia and Feu Epsom that the seller included, and that was how the Sport Band was packaged.
The S4 / S5 I have seen have the long Watch box, and the Sport Band is inside with the leather in a separate box (as opposed to the regular Watch where the Sport Band is separate), but again only two parts to the band inside. I haven't seen S3 or S6 personally, but I assume S3 followed S2 and S6 follows S4 / S5.
Strange that they can’t just give it the new Edition fold with all three pieces. Maybe the leather takes up too much room or something.
They can. The s/m bands existing is exact proof that they can, but just don’t for whatever reason. Maybe it’s something to do with marketing.
I edited to add more info but you'd replied by then. The Sport Band is in the same box as the Watch. I haven't seen a "long box" Edition packaging, but if they have the band separate like other Watches then there is a difference.
I actually don't think it's a packaging constraint however, more a bit of Hermes attitude. Weird though as I know there are people who happily wear 42/44 Hermes leather bands but can't wear the M/L SB it come with. Also I'm right in the middle of the 42/44 M/L band in terms of holes, but if my wrist was only a little bigger the Hermes leather would be too short for me.
Got mine this week also! I didn’t think I’d ever buy any green bands, but at $19 each I thought why not. But now totally loving cactus and olive flak!!!
I figured it was necessary to finish off the Fall 2018 Nike loops, so I grabbed Celestial & Smokey for $21.99 each off eBay.
Ooooh nice. Olive Flak is my first Nike band, and I totally love the black box.
Just starting my collection. Sport band: black (bundled), deep navy, surf blue, cactus, ginger, vitamin c, RED (2018). Sport loop: anchor gray and olive flak. Found this nifty letter tray from IKEA. The depth of the compartment fits the length of the bands perfectly and the width fits the boxes.

Awesome! IKEA is a great place for band storage. Great collection too! We all start somewhere. Though I have to 1up you on my perfect fits...
Those are the actual Watch boxes. A while back I went on a quest to get all the boxes to all the Nike sport bands, but some of the first sport bands only came bundled with a watch, so I had to buy the watches to get those. Resold them to get my money back though.
Except the NikeLab- that was a gift.
I should have bought the plum sport band when it was released, but I convinced myself it wasn't quite the right purple shade that I wanted. Hopefully the 40mm will come back in stock.

Blue is my favorite band color. I’ve been wanting to see Navy next to Midnight - Navy looks more vibrant than expected.
