Spicy Orange Check Nylon

But what if you don’t have either? Then which one do you go with?
Spicy O. I think you can get the Berry Check feels from so many nylons and sport loops and leather buckle bands while the Syracuse University pair Spicy O delivers is pretty unique, especially when you consider they never made an orange classic buckle and only Sunset for orange leather at all.

Thanks Hermes!

Definitely blame Hermès for the lack of a good orange.

Hi everyone, got my first Apple Watch - series 6 space grey aluminium, in early December and had decided (as a sensible person would) that I just needed the one strap for it. I deliberated for a few days before settling on the black Nike sport loop. It arrived and I was happy with the choice.

Out of interest thought I’d take a look to see what previous bands had been released just out of curiosity and stumbled upon this thread. Eight or so weeks later and...........

So many thanks to you all my bank balance is a little worse off but I’m enjoying the ride and still looking to add a few more to the growing collection.

I was hoping to have a nice orange sport band in the collection with it being my favourite colour and had the Kumquat sport band arrive earlier in the week. However man, what a disappointment, it looks nothing like any of the pictures I had seen of it online. Far from being the pure shade of orange all the online pictures indicated it would be it is actually very pale and washed out in my opinion, far too pastel like. I tried taking pictures of the band myself to understand why it looked so different and lo and behold in the pictures I took it looked wonderful but sadly nothing like it actually does in the flesh. I think Hermes orange would be more what I’m after but £100+ is beyond what I’m willing to pay, alas I’ll have to wait for Apple to finally release a true orange or hope for an eBay miracle. I might have to get an olive flak nike sport band from chargerstore to make up for the disapointment. 😆
Truly one hell of a start. Awesome! Proceed with financial caution.

Not a huge fan of the Woven Nylon / Sport Loop, but this is really cool. The checker-like pattern is kinda mesmerizing. It also reminds me of my hometown baseball team (the Baltimore Orioles) and one of my favorite holidays (Halloween)!

Oops, just looked it up and that's blue, not black - but still interesting nonetheless!
You’re from Maryland too? East Coasters are kind of rare on here.

Yeah the check brought a new level of class but I wasn’t into it at the time. I still don’t love the abrupt rectangle shape going from nylon to lugs of the nylon bands, but it’s the only way to do it. And it’s not a very vibrant blue, no sweat.

Incidentally, if you’re looking for Halloween or Orioles, you’re looking for Space Orange/Anthracite.

Or Netherlands Olympic 😈

By the way it has come to my attention that Brazil has a 100% import tax. So did Rio 2016 athletes etc pay $100 USD for their bands!?
Yes, bands were $100 is my understanding. This is one reason why they resell for so high, because they were very expensive to acquire and export.

While it looks good I favor my yellow bands on GSS. On white it’s a bit more of an “Easter” look to me. I think I’ll appreciate it more once summer rolls back around though!
I'm not sure I've even seen a GSS Apple Watch, but is Lemonade a bit bright for the gold? For sure I could see the paler yellows looking good with it though. And it is summer here - not quite a cloudless day, but still blue skies and sunshine.

Yeah I don’t like to take it above mellow for my old gold steel. But maybe I have an inbuilt aversion to LA Lakers colorways.

Unfortunately, I see Kobe whenever I go white on gold, as well, per their alternate uniforms. Luckily all my friends worship him and have short memories...
