I mean go big or go home right? It scares me that there are more votes for over 200 bands than over 100 bands.
I only do things big. That’s why I added another watch to my collection last night on top of the S5 ceramic on its way. I always wanted an S4-S5 era gold watch, and now it and its corresponding Milanese are yoinked.I mean go big or go home right?
Meanwhile I think I might be looking to sell my GSS S4. I’ve only had it for a day (lol) but I’m already unsure how I feel about the gold case and how it pairs with my collection.I only do things big. It doesn’t pair great with too much, exceptMeanwhile I think I might be looking to sell my GSS S4. I’ve only had it for a day (lol) but I’m already unsure how I feel about the gold case and how it pairs with my collection.
Besides, I have 98 bands on my wishlist I need to worry about.
CNY may be the only reason to keep it for me since I don’t have any gold pin bands. It doesn’t pair great with too much, except
my gold pin Hermès, midnight blue with gold pin, cocoa with gold pin, CNY woven, red/gold, gold/royal blue, and of course my gold Milanese. Basically that watch exists for wearing the gold Milanese.

I still think mine pairs well with just about everything... BUT, it’s because it matches my skin tone. It’s like an extension of my arm. That gold doesn’t look good on everyone, I can admit. Let’s do a face off. Wear one that you think doesn’t look good, within reason, and I’ll post the same look. 💃It doesn’t pair great with too much, except

Matches your skin tone? I have brown skin and it matches mine when I tried it on and that was actually the reason I didn’t like it but it is a beautiful finish!
Pebble? It could also be a Titanium edition gray--you can compare the pin to your others and see if it looks different from stainless steel.Completely confused by what band just arrived... the seller listed it as “gray” and it looked more like a cooler gray in the photos. Now in person it looks like a warmer gray.
It did not come with a box. It says “40mm,” however there is no serial number stamped on the metal component that I can see (maybe my eyes are just not seeing it and it’s there) - I thought all that are 40mm are supposed to have this? It looks and feels like an authentic band to me.
Here are two photos below. They are in incandescent indoor light. The second photo shows my Stone 2 Sport Band next to it for color comparison.
Any thoughts on what I have here?

Yeah compare the pin to a regular SS. If there’s a noticable difference, that’s light Gray titanium.Pebble? It could also be a Titanium edition gray--you can compare the pin to your others and see if it looks different from stainless steel.
Edit: I see that it's 40mm, so I think that rules out Pebble. So my best guess is Light Gray (titanium pin).
Welcome, and sorry 'bout the bank balance bit. I totally agree on Hermes being the truest orange, but unfortunately I think the licensing deal between Apple and Hermes will prevent them from producing anything very close to that particular colour. You're already on "the trajectory" as I think of it, and one day $100 suddenly won't seem too bad after all is my prediction...Hi everyone, got my first Apple Watch - series 6 space grey aluminium, in early December and had decided (as a sensible person would) that I just needed the one strap for it. I deliberated for a few days before settling on the black Nike sport loop. It arrived and I was happy with the choice.
Out of interest thought I’d take a look to see what previous bands had been released just out of curiosity and stumbled upon this thread. Eight or so weeks later and...........

So many thanks to you all my bank balance is a little worse off but I’m enjoying the ride and still looking to add a few more to the growing collection.
I was hoping to have a nice orange sport band in the collection with it being my favourite colour and had the Kumquat sport band arrive earlier in the week. However man, what a disappointment, it looks nothing like any of the pictures I had seen of it online. Far from being the pure shade of orange all the online pictures indicated it would be it is actually very pale and washed out in my opinion, far too pastel like. I tried taking pictures of the band myself to understand why it looked so different and lo and behold in the pictures I took it looked wonderful but sadly nothing like it actually does in the flesh. I think Hermes orange would be more what I’m after but £100+ is beyond what I’m willing to pay, alas I’ll have to wait for Apple to finally release a true orange or hope for an eBay miracle. I might have to get an olive flak nike sport band from chargerstore to make up for the disapointment. 😆
And well-deserved too !! 👏👏👏Admittedly slightly off-topic, but as it relates to the OP of this community thread I wanted to give props to the Bandbreite team who have just been linked from a 9to5mac article on AirPods Max replacement ear cushions. Now the recognised global authority on Apple Watch bands! Well done.

The pin looks like stainless steel to me, but I’ve never seen a titanium band in person. It might be ever so slightly less coolish-silver and more warmish-silver... if that makes any sense. Or it could just be my eyes. Is there anything to look for or test it with to see if it’s titanium?Pebble? You have to catch the Ti pin back in just the right light, tilting it back and forth, to see that it has that slightly warmer hue. Much easier to deduce identity by the fact of it being the only lighter gray in 40/44mm. Brand new it also has a gummy feel. The pin looks like stainless steel to me, but I’ve never seen a titanium band in person. Thanks for the welcome all. Got my link bracelet from him after reading all the recommendations here and can’t fault him one bit, no import or VAT charges once it got to the UK either so will be happy purchase from him again. You made the right choice.

Thanks- it looks warmer (ever so slightly) to me. I guess that’s it then. Pretty surprised since I only got it for $20 on Mercari and it’s brand new.You have to catch the Ti pin back in just the right light, tilting it back and forth, to see that it has that slightly warmer hue.
