Just the Pride 2017 and 2018 woven nylon. I never liked the woven nylons tbh.
Oh look, more blue, green, and orange. If this tweet is accurate than maybe some bands in these colours?
Oh look, more blue, green, and orange.
I sure hope this isn’t a preview.
We’ve had cactus, pine green, Cyprus green basically right in a row. And every shade of orange possible. Yes flamingo is not that far off orange. Kumquat, Papaya, Clementine, Apricot. Grapefruit then Flamingo. So freaking boring and repetitive. And don’t get me started on the blues. One blue after another, barely different than the last. You cannot seriously defend the abysmal palette of blues that has been released. There are so many more options in the blue family that aren’t some boring muted manly shade. The least they could do is have better shade variations. The only redeeming color from that potential preview is the purple.More green? Like we had lots of green bands already? Actually, green is the most neglected colour by far. It got a little better since Jony left, but still.
Also, I wouldn‘t call that other colour „orange“. And the only colour we already got that it looks remotely close to is Flamingo, I guess.
Also, a purple! Didn‘t like 90% of folks here lament that they never got another purple band after the infamous Ultraviolet? This dark purple, should we get it, looks fantastic to me.
And a blue. Well, of course. Apple doesn‘t release bands just for the crazy collectors. There are tons of new Apple Watch owners every year and they weren‘t in the market for bands back when all the other blues were available. And blues always sell.
What colours were you hoping for? After almost 100 Sport Bands released, it‘s not easy coming up with a bunch of complete new and unique shades.
Like I said, lately we got some greens (glad about that), but if you look at the Bandbreite App or chart it is very obvious how neglected green has been for the longest time. We’ve had cactus, pine green, Cyprus green basically right in a row.
What we got way too much of were quasi-identical reddish oranges. Real oranges we had to wait a long time for and finally got a few. But this new colour, like Flamingo, I personally would never call „orange“.And every shade of orange possible. Yes flamingo is not that far off orange. Kumquat, Papaya, Clementine, Apricot. Grapefruit then Flamingo.
Can you post pictures of other straps (or other items) in shades of blue like you would like to see? To me, we got a lot of very different blues and I have a hard time imagining a blue that was completely unlike all the ones we already got. The new one certainly isn‘t „muted“ though, is it?So freaking boring and repetitive. And don’t get me started on the blues. One blue after another, barely different than the last. 95% of the men I see with Apple Watches wear a black band. Very rarely a red or blue one. I don‘t think many men will jump on the new green or salmon-ish ones either. This new collection, should it actually resemble these colours, I don‘t think many people would describe as overtly „masculine“, at all. These colors are SO designed for men, it’s gross. There are zero options that are oriented toward women or anyone who likes more traditionally feminine colors.
I don’t care so much that I’m going to go digging and post pictures of “other items.” I think I described my opinion pretty well.Like I said, lately we got some greens (glad about that), but if you look at the Bandbreite App or chart it is very obvious how neglected green has been for the longest time.

Surf (l) Northern (r) [northern does look different in different light, this is a harsh LED]

Mmmm purple 🤤. That and the green will be my picks. The pink is too much like other pinks and the blue looks like a re-release of surf blue.If this tweet is accurate than maybe some bands in these colours?
in that photo, Northern Blue looks more like bleak winter blue while Surf Blue looks like fun beach blue.
Gotta wonder if these are silicone or leather colours... hmm! At least a hypothetical leak suggests they’re close now![]()
I have been pondering, based on the 2018 Spring Event, that invites could go out today for an event on April 13. They might not come out until Tuesday though, we'll see. I'm keeping an eye on the Apple Newsroom.I actually went into the Weibo link and it noted an event the w/c April 11
Someone said it earlier, the thing is they are not really releasing colors to fill out a color palette for collectors who have most of the rainbow already. I’m sure they want to do new things to some degree, but they’re also looking for versatile, popular colors for new buyers or people who only have one or two bands. We’ve had cactus, pine green, Cyprus green basically right in a row. How about some jewel tones? Bright pink, bright aqua (you know a blue that is actually somewhat different than the same blue that’s been offered 5 seasons in a row), a true purple, even a different neutral shade. Coastal Gray was lovely and it sold right out and you can’t find it anywhere. A green that is bright and cheery instead of another dull muted shade. These colors are SO designed for men, it’s gross. There are zero options that are oriented toward women or anyone who likes more traditionally feminine colors.
I would say they try to strike a balance. Sure, most Apple Watch owners may own 2-5 bands altogether, some genuine some not. But band collectors seem to be really loyal to buying just OEM bands, and when Apple releases them they buy at least one of every color. It would be in Apple's best interest, IMO, to not only refresh popular colors (e.g. Surf Blue and this new blue) but also experiment. Maybe that's why I liked the Nylon Band so much, Apple wasn't afraid to play around with colors back in that time not just on the Nylons but even on the Sports.Someone said it earlier, the thing is they are not really releasing colors to fill out a color palette for collectors who have most of the rainbow already. Idk if that would affect Apple's decision to send them out today considering they just announced more games being added to Apple Arcade. But either way, I hope this is more set in stone then March 23. I've been waiting to order watch bands and a new iPad.given it's Good Friday, I'd say invites go out on Tues / Wednesday. They always release a blue and this one looks like it brings back the glow, so can’t complain there. Feels very ultramarine.I would say they try to strike a balance. Grass is always greener right?!They always release a blue and this one looks like it brings back the glow, so can’t complain there. Feels very ultramarine.
I’ll take any purple but a little disappointing they went straight aubergine. It does complete the set with the leather bands. I hope its sport loop side rails are electric like plum.
I’m guessing the green will grow on me but the new pink seems like a bummer. Can’t wait for the summer bands! 😆
If this happens, I want you all to thank me for spending a ton of money getting a pre-owned ultraviolet, thus invoking murphy's law of buyer's remorse and guaranteeing that apple would do this aubergine thing. The Basic Apple Guy mock-ups were bumming me out so I make some more “optimistic” versions, using more the MagSafe ring from the source images plus a color-corrected version of the factory leak. A more saturated Beryl, a faded Grapefruit, darker/purple Surf (still hoping they call it ultramarine), and a tame ultra violet?View attachment 1752755
SPort band being uncomfortable is new to meAgreed, one of the best styles ever. It’s always confused me that the horribly uncomfortable (and fairly cheap looking) sport band is overwhelmingly the most popular while the incredibly comfortable (and quite attractive) woven nylon somehow got the ax.
Looks like Apple is releasing a new purple. lolAccidentally posted this on the sale thread instead of here. But I'm delightedly happy, so I'll post it here too: the holy grail has arrived in the mail! Now Apple better not re-release itView attachment 1751857
TBF, these are just the Sport Bands and Solo Loops (probably). Not only could there be more of each, but we still haven't gotten a look at the Sport Loops, any of the Nike Bands, the Braided Solo Loops or the leather bands. There is still a lot more coming. Plus, I seem to recall in the past they have released Sport Bands that did not have a color-matching iPhone case. And... we're still waiting on Summer colors. Who knows, maybe they'll bump Summer up to make up for being late with the Spring release and we'll get both drops in April. One could hope!It is sad, but that's what their spring colors have been in 2019 and 2020, at least. A green, a blue, and something that is more or less a pinky orange color. In 2019 they even had lilac. I was really hoping for something else - something that doesn't feel like just a lighter or darker version of a color they've already done. Something cheerful. Google the spring release from 2018 - wow, what an explosion of color! Covid has made this past year boring and dull. Let's perk it up. It is SPRING! Let's look forward to life, not backwards to the same old boring thing. If these are the spring watch band colors, I'll be quite disappointed with Apple.
