Nice. Can I trouble you for a screenshot of the new Chlorine Blue color in the Nike watch faces? I would like to make a custom watch face with the exact color from the Nike watch faces.

Would you say size 1 fits if you wear the sport band on the last hole, based on the chart?
Yeah I’m gonna guess the holes are designed with the same range of wrist sizes as the sport band, save for the rare person who uses the final M/L hole (size 10) on a 40mm watch. I think the Gruber guide is more reliable for the silicone solo loops. The braids both stretch much easier and come out of the factory with variance in length.

Don’t leave it to chance!
Yeah, I looked at those pictures before ordering. I usually wear a S/M sport band with my 44mm on the 1st (largest) peg, but for sports I always put it in the second, so I went with a size 8. I double checked by measuring my wrist and checking on Apple’s website, and it said 8 also.

Couldn’t resist. The colours are so vibrant compared to the standard braided solo loops! View attachment 1776351
Although I'm not sure I could pull off this band, this might be one of the best ones yet! The way in which the rainbow flag gets intertwined with colours of black, brown and trans activists, and all those living with HIV/AIDS is very nicely done. At first I thought the pattern was random, however the more I look at it, and I'm not sure whether the other braided solo loops are woven in a same way, I actually see the double helix of a human DNA. So many layers in this simple yarn, a true celebration of humanity and equality 💙

As a member of the LBTQ-community, I wholeheartedly agree with this. If you try to include everyone, in something that from the start is directed to people from the LBTQ-community (of all colors, even The Simpson's yellow), it diminishes the meaning in my opinion. Secondly, from the colors of the rainbow you can make all other colors.

Just my two cents...

I liked the Nike+ Sportband version though, although it is very impractical with a white band, looked good on screen though.

I’ll admit, even I, for the Braided Loop, I was thinking it looked somehow different to previous Pride Bands. If you compare it to last years’s Pride Sport Band, you can see they are very clear different vibes.

For me, matter of taste, but I easily prefer last years Pride Band (as a Pride Band). Matter of taste, but last years is a clear cut “LGBT Pride”, it looks bright, bubbly, fun, its very obviously a rainbow and even artsy the way the rainbow stripes wiggle a bit. The new Pride Braided Loop, while it definitely looks nice, it’s just not what I’d personally see in a Pride Band - it’s too ‘busy’. Looks nice for sure - but not enough rainbow. While its nice to see prediction of Pride Braided Loop come true, I think all Apple should’ve done was make a Braided Loop where they recreate the 2020 Pride Sport Band, with the yarn strands on the Braided Loop coloured according to the rainbow.

I advise anyone that also prefers last years Pride Band but didn’t yet get one to quickly pop down in person to your nearest Apple Store where they probably still have some in person to purchase. I’m still curious to see the Braided one in person, I’m sure it‘ll look very pretty, and I’d still be open to buying one.

The Nike Loop looks flat out like a cheap 3rd party knockoff that I’ll easily pass on. 2019 Pride Apple Sport Loop in my opinion easily looks much better.

While I agree that the 2019 Pride sport loop is one of the best Pride bands Apple has released, it bothered me to no end that it was so "red-heavy." It had 8 stripes instead of the Pride flag's 6 stripes, with 2 additional red stripes in different shades.

I never noticed that—just one extra shade though. Darker red, lighter red, then orange, then darker yellow, lighter yellow, green, blue, purple.

I wish that the threads in the braided loop were at least in the order of the Pride flag! Then if you want to add the other colors on the end at least it would still be a rainbow and would still have a recognizable pattern, like they did in the face. This is just a mish mash of random colors. Blue isn’t next to green, yellow isn’t even next to orange!

Yeah I don’t see how you can enjoy the pink pastel bands and not find room in your heart for the very first orange one. I mean maybe the sport band is just that inferior 😉.

Maybe it’s just the lighting but it’s not inspiring me like solo ‘loupe on my wrist right now doing its neon thing in the dark. Doing a quick search I think you’re the first person to post the sport band version.

Revisiting the Cantaloupe drama, in the Juan&Only video the Sport Band looks indeed quite different from the Solo Loop …

I’m still convinced there’s an exclusive frosty quality to certain solo loops (that maybe is seen in only, like, Lavender Gray sport band) and then conversely, I’m not convinced silicone can do the full deep luminescence of a Capri or Surf or Vit C or even Cactus. And maybe it’s just down to thickness…window as it’s called with leather.

Imagine an Ocean Blue or Alaskan Blue solo loop, especially after the period where the sport band gets some shine. I think they would have an extra something-something in silicon.

It will help to go see the Capri case and red solo loop in the store.

I have the Capri case (silicone) and the band (flouro). Definitely the same color.

For me the chart is absolutely correct! I wear my sport bands S/M with the pin in the 4th hole and my loop size is indeed a size 6.
Weird! I also wear sport bands S/M with the pin in the 4th (middle) hole, and size 5 is perfect for me in Solos and Braided Solos. I originally ordered a 6, and it was too loose and the watch moved around on my wrist. The 5 is snug but not tight, and very comfortable. Apple's printable tool measures me exactly as a 5. So for me, the tool is perfect and the chart posted above is off by a full size.

Would love to see a fresh shot of it alongside any other blues you have! I’m still on the fence, as Surf and Royal are so solid.
Sure! I'll try to do that tomorrow when I have better light. To me, capri is what I hoped royal would be. Royal (previously my favorite blue) looks kind of dusty next to capri. I don't have surf because I thought it was too close to my Blue (I can never remember if it is gen 1 or gen 2).
