Was in Best Buy today and they had a display with many of the current watch bands. It was nice to see colors like cantaloupe and capri in person. We don't live near an Apple Store, so I missed seeing all of last year's new colors in person (except for what I bought, of course).

Please take a photo next time, as some of us still can’t experience such moments from the beforetime!

My thing is that I like to match my band to my phone case. This kind of leaves me stuck in the past. My no#1 favorite band is the Blue 1st gen (MJ4R2). Apple released a matching iPhone 6 case in the same color which I have. I also have matching colors of the product (RED) iPhone 7 case with the product (RED) Sportband (MLDJ2). Other favorites (for which I don't have a matching phone case) are Green (MJ4U2) and Orange (MLDK2). Looking in the excellent chart I guess all my favorites are from 2015. :)

In order to use the 6/6s cases I had to modify the lense cut out in order to use my iPhone 7 and now my SE 2020. So glad they continued the form factor. My wife switched to a Mini 12, but that would mean me giving up the matching phone cases... Although, in the chart it looks like the Fall 2020 red is quite close to the 1st gen.

Thanks for a great thread!

My money is on Apple finding a way to make a Pride Solo Loop or they‘ll go back to a Sport Loop. They did 4 different Product Red Sport Loops, why not another Pride one. Braided Solo would be dope, but, as you already said before, probably too expensive for a Pride band.

A number of older bands have also quietly been retired - Sport Band selection has noticeably shrunk. Plum, Northern Blue, Ginger, Kumquat, Pink Citrus and of course Pride Sport Band are no longer available from apple.com

I believe those colours were retired on 20th of April when new season of colours were introduced

Both look like cheap knockoffs. The braided one reminds me of decorative rainbow corn. Why couldn't this just be rainbow, they had to include black and brown.
Description from 9to5 mac

The Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop artfully weaves together the original rainbow colors with those drawn from various Pride flags to represent the breadth of diversity among LGBTQ+ experiences and the history of a movement that has spanned generations. Black and brown symbolize Black and Latinx communities, in addition to those who have passed away from or are living with HIV/AIDS, while light blue, pink, and white represent transgender and nonbinary individuals.

I want to like the Pride bands, but I just don’t. I wish the Nike one was a black background. I play softball and run a lot and white is just a no-go for me.

Since the braided solo loop is only sold via Apple, it's probably going to be the first Pride band that would not have any third-party discounts.

If you click through, they’re still available as Solo Loops. Though the lack of 40mm Plum, which they always struggled to keep up with, tells me they prob won’t last until the end of summer like last year. As well as Cyprus sport band.
