It’s both. A maddeningly barely-purple. You can see on the watchface what it *should* look like, which is the Lilac Modern Buckle/sport loop color, from a different season entirely.

Turns out those Olympic bands retailed for $100 in Brazil because of taxes, what a bargain I got.
Blue Gen 1…might not be Blue 2’s neon but has plenty of glow
Cactus and Mallard are both top tier colors. Currently my iPad is in its Cactus Smart Folio and I hope when the Mallard ones go on sale towards the end of the year I’ll pick one up too. Amazon screwed up my Prime Day Open Box order but that’s ok, I ended up finding another Mallard band, brand new for even less. Should be here tomorrow.
Ultra Violet is such an amazing color. I got mine in a lot. While it’s 42mm, sadly it’s got some shine and I only got the M/L piece (I usually wear S/M) but that means I don’t feel bad wearing it *and* I basically stole it along with a Spicy Orange SL.
I just bought a new vitamin C 44mm new and sealed in box for $52. This is going to be a fun week as I am also going to receive my ultra violet on Tuesday!
I think the lighter band is always gonna be win but in the name of science (and the fun of turning my bulbs to black light), here you go, Capri (L) Blue2 (R):
Personally I think it’s the closest ‘real’ red they made but I consider darker shades of red to be true red over fire engine red. If you’re looking for fire engine red, I think Gen 3 or 4 is what you’re looking for. Gen 2 is the darkest ‘Red’, second only to Rose Red.

I'm wearing G1 blue today. I have both G1 and G2, and I flip flop between which is my favorite. I guess whichever one I'm wearing that day is my favorite.

Finally got a new 2015 green 44mm sealed in box. These bands can be hard to find!
Just received the Capri Blue. Right next to it are the original red that came with AW6 and the Cantaloupe band.
