We need to get you a Band Enthusiasts Anonymous keychain, you’ve leveled up, sir. And you need to post the obligatory collection pic soon.
Ha i only have red gen 1, vitamin C, ultra violet, capri, green, chlorine blue and obsidian mist…….not a whole lot yet lol

Speaking of bands "consistency", I have a pretty small OEM bands collection (less than 20), and these are the SB I purchaised in 2021: Delft Blue, Mallard Green, Pollen and Spearmint.
I do have noticed that they feel very different from each other: Pollen and Spearmint are pretty soft, velvety, heavy on the wrist, while Delft and Mallard are light, stiff, not velvety to the touch. I don't know if that depends of the production year (Pollen is older, Mallard is the newest collection) or, more likely, to the "tone": lighter colours feels softer and overall nicer, that's the pattern I've noticed. The white SB I received with my silver SS S5 is soft and velvety as well.
I'd like to ask if someone else has noticed this, and if some of the new, darker bands (like deep navy) feels the same way compared to some of the new light shades (like cantaloupe).
I do prefer the feel of the light colours, and it's a shame because I really like the deep, darker shades too. They just don't feel just as nice on the wrist, I don't know why.

I found my spearmint band to be tight when sliding inside my watch compared to my other bands. I dont know if yours is like that too.

The bands of different colors are actually made out of different materials for the sport bands. For sure they’ve been on a run of dry smooth bands since the series 6 launched.

That’s why I love the solo loops. They’re all identical and soft. Although deep navy seems to have durability problems, visually, but it stays soft even when it gets shiny, while the DN sport band is hard and relatively shiny from the start.

Before that you have to go back to Delft Blue to find a dry smoothie. Pine Green perhaps too. That one might have been a velvety with only a thin coat of the gooey feeling. They really made them nice and soft for all those light bands from spring 2019 forward and for Lav Gray/BH/Lemon Cream in Fall 2018.

It would be interesting to see a monotone band with the velvet of Blue Horizon. Maybe it’s just not possible with whatever they do to make a gray/black band. Coastal seems like one those “shallow” surface velvet bands. Wanna say Gray 2017 is the same way.

I don't know. Just for this most recent release, I've noticed straight from the box my Cantaloupe sport band is quite dry and stiff, meanwhile my dad's Capri Blue is velvety and very soft from the beginning.

Does color have say in how these bands "feel"?

Some good news I can infer from these new watch bands - it appears that they would be in addition to Summer 2021, rather than in lieu.

If you click on the Sport Bands, Mallard, Capri and Canteloupe still have “NEW” tags on them - if it were a seasonal refresh, ”NEW” wouldn’t be there anymore

Am still hopeful for Sunflower Sport Band

Oh, I need that Jamaica band. Although I’m American I just love Jamaican track (Usain Bolt is my favorite athlete of all time!).

I had a dream that Apple came out with sport bands that were all dual-color compressed molding type bands (sorta like the Pride from last year) in swirly designs. One can dream!

So, I did a naughty thing and bought 2 bands while the wife went out - bought China and GB.

Have already made a more accurate watch face for GB (thickening up one of the white stripes and thinning down the red) and looking forward to its arrival :D

Seriously considering the Swedish one... matches a pair of Adidas trainers I have perfectly. Maybe next week...
