12 Mini is same price as previous 11 price
12 is higher price than previous 11 price
12 Pro is lower price than previous 11 Pro price
12 Pro Max is lower price than previous 11 Pro Max price
2020 SE has come down in price
11 has come down in price.
XR still for sale (not sure on price change?)
11 Pro/Max no longer for sale?

I presume they struggled to sell 11 Pro/Max models and have shifted prices accordingly.

The price of the 12 Mini is almost double the 2020 SE, and more than the gap between what was previously between the SE and the 11, so I would say the SE will continue to sell well.
Your comparison is somewhat inaccurate as the previous phones to the 12 had some extra items in the box, if you were to add up the real cost of all the items then your comparison would be better...

Then I would question how long you’ve been following Apple, as This has been Apples method of operation for years. What would you expect them to do otherwise to sell the largest, most expensive iPhone? Of course they will ration certain exclusive features to the ‘Pro’ phones, it’s not just Apple, almost every tech manufacturer has similar marketing strategies to sell the most expensive device.

I'm happy to pay the premium price for features. But I DO NOT WANT the large screen. My hands are not large enough and will never be, sorry.

Why is that so hard to understand for some folks? The size literally has NO impact on performance, yet they restrict the best performance to the largest size. For no reason at all.

Their so-called marketing strategy doesn't work for me (and many others). I will literally never by the largest phone, I'd rather bite the bullet and forgo the features. They're literally loosing money from me this way.

These events seem so cold and impersonal now. Its like computer generated people telling us about each of these new devices. I’d prefer someone standing on a stage showing the new stuff old school style like they used to do (minus the people of course).

This is way too corporate and clean now. Its all the things Apple used to say they were against and I hate it.

They 100% took away someone’s ability to charge the new phone they bought unless they buy a usb-c charger, a wireless charger, own a computer with a usb-c, an iPad Pro with magic keyboard, or already have a usb c charger. They could at least throw in a flat iTunes card in the box.

Not to mention they didn’t really have to design the phone. It’s just an old design with the same edge to edge screen that we got the last 3 years.

So much negativity in here. The new iPhones (both 12 and pro) look like beautiful devices. The cameras on the pro series look absolutely incredible. Computing has always been about incremental upgrades. Expecting a brand new "iPhone" experience akin to 2007 is just silly, IMO.

Already put my approval in for an iPhone 12 pro in pacific blue. Can't wait to take the camera out for a long fall hike.

I wish the upgrade wasn't at 8am EST, but I'll survive.

Also, the blue in the iPhone 12 is absolutely stunning. I can see why all the product marketing is focused on that particular color. Just gorgeous. I wish the pro was that blue, but I'm a fan of the more industrial blue they chose as well.

I have been an Apple user for 10 years. I just feel meh. It’s all amazing technology but does little to improve my experience as a user. Cameras are great but they’ve been great for years. We still have the same form factor. It’s refined and beautiful but it’s hard to get excited anymore. Experiencing the wow and excitement from the original through to the 5 was amazing. Perhaps because of Steve, but also because they pushed the envelope. Here’s to hoping the next “one more thing” really makes an impact. Maybe Apple Glass? I dunno.

For now I‘ve moved to the dark side and purchased a Surface Duo. Panos Panay, while no Steve, just exhibits a sense of passion, care and enthusiasm about his products. With Steve’s passing and Ivy’s departure, I just don’t see that any more with Apple. Tim just doesn’t seem like a product guy. While Duo has it’s shortcoming for sure, its a device that truly has changed the way I interact and engage with my digital life. It’s daring, unconventional, and simply beautiful to hold and use. The reviews don’t give it justice and just got it wrong. It’s just refreshing.

Rant over. Feel free to attack haha

You’ll get the same shots on the 12 that you would get on the 11. These camera updates are so completely tiny every year its difficult to see any real differences (outside of the night vision on the 11 Pro).

The iPhones are 5G, are they still compatible with 4G LTE network?

I had no idea what a joke, iPhones have become until my wife just got a Galaxy with android. Most boring iPhone release ever and COME ON, not even the notch is gone??? Nearly every phone has gotten rid of it and they can't even figure that out? ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz

You do know the mark up on their products, don’t you?

Yes, its 35-45 percent typically.

They're a business. They have industry leading support, do their own product innovation/processor development and offer software integration that is second to none in the industry. They provide 5 years worth of software updates, for free. They go to bat against the US government and others on privacy issues.

You want to buy from some company scraping by on razor thin margins, go buy an HTC phone and compare the experience.

I don’t have an issue with the notch. Don’t even notice it and I’d rather get an iPhone thrown at my face after I pay an outrageous amount of money before I got a Samsung.

We all know about apple. Say you buy a new iPhone. First iPhone since the last one. You get home try to charge it with the usb brick but your new cable is usb-c.

What?

*looks at Samsung USB type C charger on desk*

edit:
seriously, what's your point? USB type C is ubiquitous and used by everyone. If you don't have at least one USB type C charger/port kicking around from either your Macbook, PC, iPad, or myriad of other devices, buy one.

I've got at least 4-5 USB type C chargers kicking around and a heap of old type-A lightning cables/chargers as well.
