Apple's internal builds are much further ahead than us, so they will already be testing it. All they have to do is regression testing after integrating it. I work with a large Dev team, so I know it's not as you think it is, to integrate it and test it.
You shouldn't presume. With an agile team it depends on what the priority is and how modular the code is (and I would expect this feature to be highly modular - it's a completely new API). The problem may be integrating the changes in the existing codebase

Gee, the blue/red music icon is one of the things I thought Apple got right. The colors were bright and playful but not tacky. It’s not that big a deal, but I do prefer it.

That camera change is stupid. There is plenty of space on the screen, but typical apple lets move things into a submenu so it takes multiple steps to do something that used to be one step.

Good grief. What is it with Apple and enjoying multiple presses?

The button in the Camera interface is the same as iOS 13. What about it is considered new?

Exactly what I said in another thread.

I'm not presuming, more educated reasoning, combined with personal experience. As I have said, we've seen this MANY times before with Apple, where there were things in like iOS 12.5 that weren't in iOS 13 until beta 6 (I forget what it was exactly, and what beta it was, but you get my point). They do not need to rely on Devs/Public Beta early on, as there's other focus with that. They will have been testing it on the internal iOS 14 builds ever since it went out to the public in iOS 13, if not earlier.

I wish Apple would come up with a layout & design for the Music app that they will stick to. It's been redesigned so many times that I'm getting exasperated having to relearn where things are. The UI designers at Apple must have no idea what muscle memory is....

Well, you came off condescending. In any case we both agree upon that it will appear eventually. With the world situation being what it is, I just expected it to be highly prioritized

I deleted and there is no weather widget option in the settings.

edit: figured it out. You have to delete the now blank widget, launch the weather app, and then go back into widgets and it will be a choice.

On iPadOS, the weather app is actually gone, not just the widget. Can't add the app or the widget now

I can't help how you took it. I was just stating things plainly and as clear as I could. It has been prioritised and released in a stable public build. Developer & Pubic betas are not stable public build, so they will be missing some things until nearer the final release. ☺

Reboot and the weather widget will return, some people said it took 2-3 times. I have it on mine fine now.

While it’s on the updating screen you get a prompt when you push any button telling you that there’s and update in progress
It's been there for quite a while.

News+ Audio support added?
No

They didn’t implement the Covid API? Can someone please check?
Would be a huge bummer if not....
No

I prefer the old one more as well.

I've now rebooted 10x, still no widget.

Anyone else having a issue with their phones connecting to cellular data? Sometimes my phone just isn’t able to get data via cellular.

Yes.. I had that with the second beta. I am hoping it is fixed with this update.

Looks like the NFC icon is new, and also in the image edit you can switch to crop different aspect ratios...
Oh interesting - I don't have that icon. Do you have an older phone? I wonder if they added a control center app to make up for the lack of background NFC scanning on older devices.

This is in the developer release notes.

"ExposureNotification, Known Issues, ExposureNotification isn’t currently available in iOS 14 beta. Use iOS 13.6 beta to preview the latest functionality. (64433241)"

Interestingly the availability is given as:
iOS 13.5+
tvOS 14.0+ [beta]

New music icon? LOL. I had preserve that old 2014 iTunes ICNS so I can replace any app icons which I want. Currently replacing default Swinsian icon.
