Expectations for Apple's October 22 Event: iPads, Mac Pro, and More

The New Mac Pro: Give us a RELEASE DATE, a list of AVAILABLE CONFIGURATIONS, and the PRICE for those configurations.

Then I will be a happy camper.
 
There is also a rumor that Apple will be unveiling a new/updated logo! :eek:

Didn't someone in the industry a few months back advise that the Fall would "be busy" for Apple? Maybe they will showcase many of these items at once.

Apple made the biggest mistake doing away with the vibrant 6-color logo that looked great:

It would be great if they brought the logo back...instead of casting it off as a vintage piece of Apple yesteryear.

the "cheapest" product would be the OS X Mavericks. assuming they're $30 upgrade.

anyway, really excited to upgrade my ipad 2 -> 5 :D
 
I really like Apple and I have no intention changing my whole system for android/windows 8.

But I think that they should do something like Surface Pro or Asus Transformer Aio. It would be the PERFECT product. A full OS X running on a convertible iPad/Mac. And they really, really need to start thinking about a pen just like samsung or surface pro.

The problem is that the rainbow has been forced to mean "gay" now.
 
To Eric Slivka. I'm often critical of the MR staff here (usually in jest), but this was actually a nice summary and well done.
 
I'm hoping for an iTunes Match song limit increase (as a post presentation bit of news).

And isn't it time to change the shape of the iPad Nano again!?! Actually, do they sell iPods in any great numbers nowadays?

If apple does in the next year or two release its own full TV with apple tv inside. I hope they wont be stupid and put a sheet of glass on it for good looks. Seemslike a thing they would do

This won't happen. It's a silly rumour that stemmed from a photo of the inside of a new ipad shell that hadn't had its inlays set in yet.

Apple's corporate identity is solid. They don't need a rebrand.

If it does happen, I'll eat all the hats.
 
If they introduced a retina mini at $329 and kept the non-retina version while dropping its price down to, say, $249, I believe the older model would fly off the shelves this Holiday season. A sub $250 iPad would sell really well I believe.
 
They forgot to mention the obvious iOS7 updates for iLife apps, ibooks, etc. Given the icon leaks yesterday its a sure thing that these will all be updated as well. It makes perfect sense.

Alternatively, disgraceful announcing it so early before it's ready to go live?

On the flip side, there seem to be quite a lot of people who have delayed a purchase decision, knowing that these things are coming.

Who knows what is the best strategy?
 
Retina mini please. I want Apple to own the tablet space again and a retina mini with 64 bit and touch id would do it.
