Does anyone think that Apple will be updating the Cinema Display?
According to the Buyer's Guide, the current Cinema Display model is 764+ days old.
I know that the Cinema Display already has a Mini-Display/Thunderbolt port but I believe that it has USB 2 hub.

I'm pretty sure that the Mac Pro is going to be USB 3 and it would make sense that the Cinema Display would get a spec increase to a USB 3 hub.
Part of the reason why I am wondering is because I plan on purchasing a Mac Pro and two Cinema Display and am curious if I should buy the monitors now or wait and bundle them together.
What are your thoughts?
Historically OSX has never been this LATE before.. Last Year was in July and the following year, in July. Without Steve Jobs they are lagging behind!! The sooner Angela Ahrendts, the current CEO of Burberry starts work for Apple the BETTER. I SAY!! A lot of people were dismayed and disappointed with the WWDC this year. FACT! Take a look at the share price from May to now, ... I rest my case.
And Aperture too.
Yes, and I hope this is the case, I already have my credit card in hand and I'm waiting to use it![]()
About bloody time, too!! Most of this stuff was announced in June. It is very disgraceful making the public wait so long... Especially for devices like the new Mac Pro. Just think of how much income Apple has lost by delaying the release of such a device like that. The same with OSX Mavericks and IOS 7.
What about possible iWatch release on the 22nd?![]()
Retina Mini at $329 or bust!
Historically OS X updates were released with nowhere near this frequency. Apparently you're new to Macs.
I can agree that this has a high possibility of appearing at the keynote.- iPad: Expect a new iPad mini-inspired design that is thinner, narrower, and lighter.
I don't agree here. iPad Mini yes. With retina screen no. I think there needs to be the screen differentiation still to keep the products different enough. But if a retina screen pops up on this I will not be surprised.- iPad mini: Retina display expected, but there have been questions about production and whether Apple be able to ship the new device in significant quantities, if at all, before the holidays.
From the rumours so far and how far the 10.9 beta has progressed along I agree with this.- OS X Mavericks: Reportedly due for launch before the end of the month, we should see a final unveiling next week. Other software updates including new versions of Apple's iWork and iLife suites, including iWork for iCloud, are also expected.
I think the Mac Pro will be talked about as a footnote only as it already had it's big announcement at WWDC. I think we'll find out how close to a date and the all important price we are at.- Mac Pro: Announced by Apple as launching "this fall" following a sneak peek at WWDC in June, Apple's radically redesigned professional desktop should get a through introduction next Tuesday.
I don't think we will get displays now. No part leaks. But they could talk displays at the Mac Pro can handle 3x 4k supposedly. Some have speculated that updated displays may arrive to complement the new Mac Pro, but there has been no specific evidence of a display refresh.
I think these will not be mentioned at the keynote. Just a silent update like the iMacs got. If anything a tony footnote mention or silent update.- MacBook Pro: An update for Apple's Retina MacBook Pro line has been expected for several months, moving to Intel's new Haswell processors for improved battery life. While it seems that Apple would want to feature the MacBook Pro improvements at its event, the list of products to be covered is beginning to get rather long and so it is unclear if the updated notebooks will make an appearance at or alongside the event or at a separate time.
As above, footnote mention or silent update.- Mac mini: There have been no specific rumors about the Mac mini, but it too is due for an update to Haswell processors.
There has been some TV rumours of recent. So I think it's a possibility. If anything this is the right keynote of the year to talk about this.- An Apple TV wildcard: There have been some rumblings over the past several months that Apple is planning some sort of TV-related announcement for late this year, but there has been no concrete evidence of any imminent introduction.
Trench Coat with pockets for iPads.

Would Haswell chips be better on the MAC PRO?
Not at all. Been with them since the late 80s!!
I have seen so many u turns with the company, its sickening really.. so many shelved projects that haven't even been leaked !!

Good call ... That is the main reason why they hired that Burberry woman!![]()

Zero. Won't be around until the end of next year at the earliest. And it likely will get its own Keynote address should it ever materialize.
You couldn't be more wrong. That's twice in July, previous versions shipped in August, October, April, October, August, September, and some of those coming close to two year gaps. The month of the year it ships in is irrelevant, it's nonsensical to use that to claim it's "late".
And Jobs himself announced the postponement of an OSX release by several months, that was a release that was truly late since it had a release window announced then missed it in a big way.
In may it got down to 426, now it's over 500. What do you think that proves? Or did you not actually look at the stock price and think it went down in that time? the postponement wasn't about 10.9 ... it was about 11 !!
Doesn't matter, intel is a couple generations behind on the Xeon versions so haswell xeon is a long way off.
