Apple made the biggest mistake doing away with the vibrant 6-color logo that looked great:

It would be great if they brought the logo back...instead of casting it off as a vintage piece of Apple yesteryear.

This is the logo of the future.

New RMBP please..

New MBP Please..Time to upgrade my '13-inch, Aluminum, Late 2008', served pretty well so far.

Historically OSX has never been this LATE before.. Last Year was in July and the following year, in July. Without Steve Jobs they are lagging behind!! The sooner Angela Ahrendts, the current CEO of Burberry starts work for Apple the BETTER. I SAY!! A lot of people were dismayed and disappointed with the WWDC this year. FACT! Take a look at the share price from May to now, ... I rest my case.

I know, when John Browett stopped coding the upgrades in Mavericks when he was let go, it really lagged.

Also it was mentioned during the mac pro sneak peak keynote that a new version of final cut pro x would be released to take advantage of 4K and the new pro.

my point is that when steve jobs was alive the shares where over 600 regularly!!

Nope, wrong again. He passed away October 5, 2011 and the stock closed at 378 that day. At that point the all time high was a little over 400. It wasn't until after his death that the stock hit 600 (and even 700). First time it hit 500 was February 2012.

It's one thing for your opinions to be so ridiculous and out of touch, but at least look things up before you post so you're not getting basic facts wrong.

I highly doubt you'll end up a happy camper !!!

Really, you don't think they'll announce those? There's not much else to announce about the Mac Pro, and even if it doesn't start shipping next week, there's not much time left in the quarter. It's hard to imagine they wouldn't announce release date and pricing for Mac Pro.

Also it was mentioned during the mac pro sneak peak keynote that a new version of final cut pro x would be released to take advantage of 4K and the new pro.

Good point, there has also been some speculation about whether they'd have an update for Logic that did audio processing with openGL, although there's some lively debate about whether openGL would be useful for that.

silent MBP update to processors only.

trend is, they silent up the processors right?
real update/refresh is June WWDC 2014 yeah?

i'm not holding my breath - gonna sleep way, way in that day.. ^_^

A lot to cover

"While it seems that Apple would want to feature the MacBook Pro improvements at its event, the list of products to be covered is beginning to get rather long"

....read the invitation again.

Point taken. I still like the original logo, but I am hesitant to adorn my car with rainbow Apple stickers for just that reason. Took mine off for that reason.

For what reason? Who cares if someone thinks you are gay?

How about...AppleTV updated to drive 4K display?
Solves that upcoming chicken-and-egg problem.

...And Game Controllers

I would be surprised if they do not demo the Logitech Game Controllers.

About bloody time, too!! Most of this stuff was announced in June. It is very disgraceful making the public wait so long... Especially for devices like the new Mac Pro. Just think of how much income Apple has lost by delaying the release of such a device like that. The same with OSX Mavericks and IOS 7.

A quality user experience can't be rushed; remember the Maps disappointment?

It's the products that Apple reject that make Apple the best.

And you're forgetting one thing ... The iPad was also shelved for 5 years just to let the iPhone have it's glory.

So called expert you are !!!

The iPhone is based on the iPad.

----------

So, if Apple didn't tell you about the new products until they were ready you would be bitching that they didn't forewarn you of their upcoming goodies right?

Not particularly ... it's not about the announcement of the next phase of products based on what they are already doing.. It's about what they are NOT telling you.... meaning they are looking into the long term future of computing as a whole. it's not about 64bit technology, it what comes after that which is what they are looking into.

So annoyed that new MacBook Pro is taking so long to get an update. My 2006 White MacBook is in life support and I need to pull the plug asap.

Ditto!

Am I the only one who sees updating the mac air but not the macbook pro at the same time as a scandal! I mean come on that's just trying to sell macbook airs and old/unsold retina macs all in one go but you actually just mess with everyone who would have already bought one, i've been looking elsewhere and can say it's now 50/50 if i will even buy a macbook!

I really hope they get more than just a spec bump considering the HUGE extra wait time for them but i'm guessing we'll see very basic changes mainly swapping out the intel processors and maybe and i'm hoping they add bigger flash drives as standard or expansion slots. Considering the space requirements for a drive expansion would be small it makes no sense not to add one, you only have to realise they include a stupid card reader that never gets used that could be replaced with a new expansion slot that allows apple to sell more space! I mean come on anything audio or video will suck up all your measly 256GB quick. We've gone backwards in most regards on the macbooks recently and it's time to get back to models that can actually be used without the need for dumping everything a stupid mech drive at home.
