So if you already own a iPhone XsMax why are you getting a or why do you want a 11 Pro Max ?

Are the cameras on the XsMax just horrible and unacceptable?

Or why please share your thoughts I genuinely want to know.

I get a new phone every year, but aside from that, the camera and battery are really the only improvements that anybody can expect for the switch between XSMax and 11ProMax.

I'm tempted to got back to just a skin this year. I used to use just a skin but then changed that up the last two years.... loving the black camo skins available this year... but then I just bought a GREEN phone and want to see that so maybe just clear case this year?

Totally going with a clear-ish case. I currently have the rose gold Xs Max, my first non-black or gray phone ever. And I love it - have a D-Tech case on it that is clear with Minnie Mouse print. LOL

Now I cannot wait for the green - excited to see what cases become available.

I already have the Xs Max and will not upgrade that one - paid for but can't seem to swallow the low resale value!

Will keep the Xs Max for another year.

OTOH my other iPhone 7 was just upgraded to the 11 128GB in Yellow. Got $350 for my iPhone 7 which was a steal thru T Mobile.

Battery life mainly, even if close to their claim that is a HUGE upgrade.
Better Face ID nd more angles is welcome.
Dont care much about the camera dont take many pics.

And like other's paying monthly anyway. If I pay off my XS Max then I have to privately sell it and deal with scammers on the internet hoping to make maybe $500 when the phone is 2 years old (64gb, and they're only going for $750 now and Apple is giving $600 trade-in, so by 2 years old I expect the value around maybe $500ish)

Plus its a business expense, so it's mostly written off with the phone bill anyway; just saves me on taxes.

Sure you could maybe make $500, or could also get scammed and paid off the $1100 phone with nothing to show. I did Swappa once years ago and turned out perfectly fine; I have also heard stories people lost their butts- phone and the money since it's still Paypal.

The safe route is for me, trade it in and upgrade.

I have the XS and want the Max version of the Pro.

Also the corporate is the one paying so don't care really.

I have the XSMax. I'm waiting for the reviews to see the REAL battery life tests and for camera quality. If these things are significantly improved (vs. marketing claims), I'll upgrade to the 11 Pro Max. If not, I've still got a great phone.

Cause I work hard and deserve to buy it if I want it plus my daughter needed a new phone and I knew there would be a buy one get one offer.

because it's the same lease price on the ipup and I'm trading in my xs max.

battery life and camera are biggest draws for me.

For people fortunate enough to buy the iPhone 11 pro, I’m buying because I can afford but would buy for battery alone.

I'm just tired of gold, and I want a different color (kidding).

Significant battery life improvement, brighter screen, camera upgrades. If FaceID works at wider angles (while lying on a desk, in bed, etc) that'll be worth it to me. Also, I was in San Francisco for 3 weeks in the summer, and I would have loved to have that wide angle lens and Night Mode (assuming it lives up to expectation).

For me, it was increased screen brightness (GPS for motorcycle) and increased battery life.

I never even thought of this.....That is huge for me.

One thing that Apple hasn't really advertised is the jump from HDR (on the XS and XS Max) to full HDR10/Dolby Vision support on the 11 Pros. Anyone that consumes content on their iPhones will love this.

I noticed on comparing the XS Max and Pro Max, for audio, the XS Max shows "wider stereo playback". The Pro Max has "spatial audio playback, and supports dolby atmos". So the audio should be improved.

I have upgraded each year since the first iPhone but two years. There is not a significant difference in the two phones and if asked by a friend which to get I would reply based on budget and their likes. I upgrade as well because there is no way I can wonder what the newer device might be like with the ability to just answer the question. So, I use one of the monthly plans and I update each year and will continue to do so. That is about the only reason I can give.

I don't know so I am asking, is the base brightness brighter than the previous phones? The spec I read said 800 nits normally, 1200 nits when using HDR.

That's it. With the IUP, every month you own it after 12 months is like losing money on the trade-in.
You most certainly do not own it. The loan is for 2 years. It is a choice to trade after a year. Either way we're paying for another year to 'own' it.

I pay $60.33/month for an XS Max (crazy, I know). That's $723.66 after 12 months. I do not 'own' it this year.
