Capturing the incredible, heart-pounding excitement of cars going vroom using his iPhone®.

And just like the majority of the people who watch the real life F1 races, everyone going to watch the movie in the theater cares only about the crashes. :)

This is such a non-issue. I think Apple has made a lot of great content, and they should be promoting it.
And let´s not forget that Apple already won an Oscar for Best Picture... Something Netflix has been chasing and dreaming for years!

While I haven't seen it YET I plan to..in the meantime the new Billy Crystal series, "Before" is outstanding!

Ironic, there were complaint about users getting spammed on their iPhone about this movie. Just in case people who didnt get spammed now get the spam via Macrumors?

We also booked for 4DX for this sat, just to see what it would be like. It really made a difference you feel?
Absolutely - occasionally a little too much, but overall definitely adds to the experience - just hold on to your popcorn during the 'on the track' moments! 😂 Seeing your later post, it will certainly keep you awake!

This is the definition of cherry picking

Cherry picking traditionally has a negative connotation.
I really wasn't trying to cast the movie in an objective negative light is what I meant I guess..

(The reviews I was highlighting weren't actually all negative if read in their entirety)

Anyhow -- moving on.

You will love the 4DX. My wife had no idea and thought she might nap, lol. That didnt happen. It makes you feel like you are driving to an extent, almost like a mini roller coaster at times, the rumbles vibrations, the flashes for the fireworks. This is that way to see it if possible.

Apple has Oscars, Netflix has viewers... Some of the Apple acclaimed TV shows are absolute garbage with very low ratings on Rotten Tomatoes. For example, The Morning Show has rating 33%.

This is such a non-issue. If a tiny ad bothers I'd posit you have bigger issues going on somewhere.
Give anyone the chance to complain about a big company and they will.

If this becomes a real problem in the future, I’ll flip the switch to kill all Wallet ads and be done with it. I don’t need anyone throwing the whataboutisms at me, let’s see how Apple responds to the criticism and then act accordingly like adults.

Apple assuredly can see how many people have disabled notifications thru anonymous aggregated metrics and will adapt their future marketing strategies accordingly.

It’s basically the F1 version of Top Gun Maverick.
Which is exactly the reason I will wait for the F1 to come to streaming. And for me to be slightly drunk.

I loved the original Top Gun and heard good things about the Maverick. After watching it I was like “that was some silly ass movie and not in the good way as the first”.

But I am glad that Apple seems to have a hit on their hands, I do like ATV+ and this is good for the service so it’s good for me.

The Morning Show is a strange case for me. Watched the first season and did not understand why people thought it was great. It was barely ok.

Watched the second season and somehow managed to finish the flaming dumpster fire that it was.

For some reason watched the third season and actually kind of liked it. 🤷🏻‍♂️
