Incorrect, it says "after restarting" after a reboot, this message happens if you scan incorrectly several times.

Seconded.Ok you guys are actually right, I just deliberately failed touch ID a few times by using the wrong finger and the message changed from "Does not recognise your fingerprint" to "Passcode must be used to enable" after a couple of fails. Quite possible it was a genuine FaceID fail then!
Yep, you have to do it a lot.Ok you guys are actually right, I just deliberately failed touch ID a few times by using the wrong finger and the message changed from "Does not recognise your fingerprint" to "Passcode must be used to enable" after a couple of fails. Quite possible it was a genuine FaceID fail then!
I'm trying to visualize a different orientation/angle that better describes what you think it is incapable of doing WHILE at the same time being a reasonable use case. Like another poster mentioned, if you were at any further of an angle/distance then what use case would that be?
Citation, please.

Again, citation.
Genuinely, what was weird about my post?

Your PASSCODE is required to ENABLE Face ID:
Read and weep: https://www.macworld.com/article/30...-to-enter-your-passcode-when-you-wake-up.html
Your password is required when you don't unlock your phone for 8 hours with TOUCH ID and Now face ID
I can't believe people overlook this fact.
If Face ID failed or not, it was a massive own goal by Apple.
are you buying the X 256 ?It was a failure of a presentation, that much is clear to me
Do you know what the term "own goal" means?
If Face ID failed or not, it was a massive own goal by Apple.
Yeah, it's not what actually happened, it's what people perceived to have happened... that's the flip side of spin and marketing! If Face ID failed or not, it was a massive own goal by Apple.
are you buying the X 256 ?
But it is football ;-) Only kidding
How I feel ....
