My photos look pants. So low res that there isn't any differentiation between the in focus and out of focus areas.

What a piece of garbage... Coincidentally, my wife and installed this within minutes of each other and our phones both died. Both of our email accounts on our phones no longer work. I can log in to comcast web mail, but cannt get it to work again on my phone. I somehow doubt that this wasn't caused by the new update. I'll wait to see if anyone else is having this type of issue...

Completely bricked up my iPhone 4. Works fine on iPad...

Installed it on the iPhone 4, flash screen hung forever... deleted it - tried to re-install - that froze, so I reset the iPhone... that froze... so now doing a full restore. Thanks, Facebook.

I have to download this app immediately. Facebook is awesome!

Bwaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!

The fourth version is the charm, Facebook.

Works great on my 3GS. I had to delete and reinstall the app after upgrading it before it would work, though. Works best with a fresh install.

- Play games on the go: Play your favorite Facebook games wherever you are, and on a bigger screen.

I wonder how that comply to AppStore rules. Wasn't it disallowed for apps to run code loaded afterwards.
Others have even to remove a shopping button.

Anyway: one of the apps I will not install; Safari is still enough for me while using FB.

Same thing, stuck at work and now I have the endless reboot... fail Facebook, didnt know an app was capable of bricking my phone. For such a big company you'd think they would test the install process

To those ppl getting all kind of errors that put iphones in a endless loop etc is that even possible? I dont think apple even allows any apps to have such deep access to the system right?

Nope, just you

Man.....with all the rebooting/crashing problems people are reporting on their iPhones, I think I'll wait a bit before updating. The previous version of FB works just fine on my iP4 (if a bit non-intuitively), but at least it's never crashed. Not going to risk having to do a full restore.....

So far I am not impressed at all. I've only been using for 5 minutes and I'm seeing nothing but bugs and things that are broken. It's really embarrassing... surely Facebook can do better than this?!?

Is this your first time downloading a Face Book update?

See for every thing Facebook fixes in an update, they break 2.

M.Z. thinks that bugs are like a gift with purchase, kind of like at the perfume or cosmetics counter at a department store.

Don't do it. Just did mine ok after reseting. But misses had the same problem, having to do a full restore now.

Just watch this space the app will get pulled in a matter of hours!

Over the past few days my facebook app hasn't been working at all with ios 5 gm, but downloaded the update this morning and it worked fine first time, it even showed me a nifty little tour of what the new features were.

I guess facebook loves me :D

The app is accessing your installed apps, so it's doing things apps don't normally do. Like, the "games" feature just launches if you have an app for that game already installed.

It's sort of like a desktop. Everyone has different things installed and different settings, and there is no way to test an app with all those combinations and variables. The people having the really crazy problems might have something else going on in their phones other people don't. So when the FB app is populating what apps you have installed, etc. it could be setting off fireworks unintentionally.

Also, this IS a FB update... I watch these threads as a popcorn piece to see the carnage the update brings. To date, not 1 FB update hasn't done something evil to a device or had really unforgivable bugs.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_5 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8L1 Safari/6533.18.5)

I gave up. Kept hanging on install. Thought it bricked my phone the first time. Had to do a hard reset to kill it off and it took a good 10 minutes for my phone to boot back up. Tried two more times with the same result. A little scary since I'm on vacation and completely reliant (addicted) to my phone. Will use web app until thy get the bugs worked out.
