NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why would I want this when I long ago turned off FB's push notifications and their iOS app is a big steaming pile of advertising?

Blehhhhh, I don't care about Facebook. Just get on once a day for a little bit to catch up with friends and that's it. I don't need my friggin wallpaper showing whats happening in Facebookland.

1 reason why this wont happen in it's current form.
Apple does NOT hand over the user experience to other companies.

Secondly, FB is simply a feature (in it's current form). I cannot produce documents on them, they do not have an OS, they do not have a computing device, they do not have... fill in the blank. All they do is simply connect people with their relationships (as shallow as most of them are).

As far as this "secret conversation" goes... it was probably FB simply contacting Apple about it.

FB: Hey Apple, can we put Home on iOS?
Apple: "Hahahahaha.... oh wait you're serious. **** off"

I hope this doesn't happen but I all ready know that I'm hoping out of futility. When this does happen, they better not make this a default feature!

Personally, I think Springboard and lock screen needs massive overhaul, and Facebook Home direction is the best way, in fact, for redesigned notification center while the screen is locked.

No thanks!!

Ya don't see this being a real possibility. Personally FB is crap and to surrender a good user experience to Zuck & Co. Would just be a horrible path. no thanks, no, tomorrow, ever.

Yeah I'll pass, thanks. Though I do hope to see some added features to Apple's lock screen in the future.

Amen!

If this happens I think I will have to go back to candy-bar Nokia phones. Sometimes I miss their simplicity.

amen and cheapness. I'm almost done with the "smart phone" and tablet race. Still have an iPad 2, got the 4 today and I just don't see enough difference that justifies me spending $1,000 on it. I like the new display, better camera and more storage, but not to the tune of $1,000 for something I already have.

Same with my iPhone, would love to trade my 4s in to get the LTE, but ATT LTE simply doesn't work all that well or in most places I travel to. No I will never go back to Verizon.

lol... my words exactly, although not as long.

It will be an app. it has too, otherwise i'm switching .... Period...

Gimmie back my Home screen :p u stole it.

Keep it all as "integration"

This article almost sounds like "There will be no different between Facebook Home and iPhone, both are the same , but the design is just better with Apple"

Which translates to, "It doesn't matter which phone you get, they all have Facebook Home."

The way i see it, Mark just wants to control the mobile market ... "This is any phone, and you WILL use social networking"

(unless Apple is intelligent and only has an app for it :) ) This is what i'm hoping.. But hey.... it's Apple, they've done stupid things in the past, why would this be any different ?

If its an app, then its ok... no one is forcing you to use it,, it just would be some accumulated junk.

How can we get even less social? Can't wait till the day when we all don't even have to interact with folks in person at all. It's gonna be awesome!

Winning;)
