Who do you trust more with your data? Tim Cook or Mark Zuckerberg?
In 2004:
Zuck: 'I have over 4,000 emails, pictures, addresses, SNS[SSNs]. People just submitted it. I don't know why. They "trust me" Dumb ****s.'
Nothing has changed.
Who do you trust more with your data? Tim Cook or Mark Zuckerberg?
LOL - What is a full page News Paper ad? Guess that is one way to keep the antique media still going.
Actually, I'd say you're fortunate...While I want to support local businesses, I also want to keep some privacy.
I also find the attached picture ironic. Probably the most trackers by far I've seen compared to many of the other sites that I've been to.

Developers can still ask people to opt in to tracking. If developers can convince people that the app is worth giving up their privacy, then the developers should be fine. If people don’t want to give up their privacy, developers can still show non personalized ads or charge a fee for ad free experience.I personally think this change will end up being a bad idea in the end, a lot of developers will stop making apps because they have no ability to make money from the apps.
I also think just resetting the Advertising ID would have been a better idea. Reset it every 7 days or so and have multiple Ad id's on each device that are given out at random when an Ad is requested.
This is the main reason why I use iOS devices rather then Android, Apple may not be perfect but when it comes to privacy and security they are fantastic and stand up for their users. Android on the other hand is a Google operating system, need I say more?
Good point! I observed this a long time ago. Macrumors is a clever commercial site. While I want to support local businesses, I also want to keep some privacy.

Do you have proof of that?Back in the day 2010-2014 my business use to advertise on Facebook and get actual traction, sales, and viewership. Now when you advertise on Facebook for the same spend, it's like they are using bots to increase the reported numbers and charge me for not getting any traction, sales or viewership. Our small business no longer relies on Facebook to feed us fake advertising numbers while charging us the full amount.
From https://freakonomics.com/podcast/advertising-part-2/:Do you have proof of that?
HWANG: A few years back, Procter & Gamble, which is one of the largest advertisers in the world, decided that they would run a little experiment. They were going to take about $200 million of their digital-ad spending and just cut it out of their budget to see what happened.
Procter & Gamble said they were doing this because of concerns over brand safety and the proliferation of bots, which can pollute the data on ad impressions.
HWANG: And the end result was fascinating. Basically, they said that there was no noticeable impact on their bottom line.
