I’m pretty sure there’s something in the Constitution that makes it illegal for vaguely humanoid mannequins to be President.

He reminds me of one of those aliens from Men In Black who wear human suits and don’t get the mannerisms and expressions quite right.

Haha you're saying he's a clone?

The truth is - if he was a mannequin with a human skin, what would be different.

A: Nothing.

I mean if he was a reptilian shapeshifter, no way he'd be glitching like this. This is some low tech ****, and whoever is behind it is laughing at all of us.

I would never buy a physical product from Facebook, even if it was the coolest thing I ever saw.

They have proven time and again that they cannot be trusted with personal data, either due to lax security, poor judgment, or outright sleazy data-sharing with sketchy third parties.

As long as Zuckerberg and the current management team are in place they have nothing for sale I’d ever buy.
My oculus is cool as **** ??‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♂️

My oculus is cool as **** 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
To be honest, VR doesn’t mean much to me since sometimes it seems like I can get motion sickness walking across the room, but even still, I’d never willingly give Facebook a single penny even if they made the most awesome thing ever.

They are a destructive influence on society, they enable human trafficking and do the barest of bare minimums to prevent it, they’ve allowed their service to be used to plan and facilitate the commission of bloody atrocities around the world, the list goes on and on.

Facebook user walks into a metaverse store...
“but where are the products for sale?”

Mark Zuckerberg looks at you with creepy face and then starts rummaging through your bag.

This is hilarious. If the prices are right, the naysayers will be at the head of the stampede through the door.

This may come as something of a shock to you, but some people actually have principles.
Some. NOT most.
If you can say you’ve not done something dishonest, (along with most others they know), this week then I’ll take your statement as fact. If not pipe down.
Everything has a price. Principles are up for sale same as virtually everything else.
There are so many ‘principled’ people, (I’m sure you know a few), who done dishonest things and justified it to themselves and others.

Zuckerberg is absolutely crazy. Is he really the only one who doesn’t see that Facebook/Meta is a terrible and hated company?
I hate them and you hate them but all our aunts and uncles and parents and grandmas and grandpas and school committees and even work groups and community groups and so on are on Facebook. I can't participate in a very important parents group at my kids' school because I refuse to be on FB.

And I had to let my teenager join Instagram because otherwise she apparently doesn't exist to her old friends she wants to stay in touch with otherwise. Somehow FB/Meta has gotten very adept at convincing its sheep that people who aren't part of it just don't matter. We simply don't exist.

Now if they succeed taking this crap mentality to virtual reality and creating a vr community, the divide is going to get worse and strange for the next generations. And I'm someone who really had fun playing VR games. But once FB got their dirty mitts on Oculus, I dropped it like a hot potato.

Judging by the number of users they have I’d say you need to re-think your description.
Free product that goes right to your home versus a store you have to get to and then plunk down actual money at.

So unless I am scrupulously honest and morally perfect at all times I’m unfit to say I won’t do business with a company that facilitates human trafficking and genocide?

That’s … wow.

I mean … 🤣🤣🤣

with Meta wanting customers to feel curious and close.
So sexy.
A parallel universe where not only ”trustworthy information“ is a figment of someones imagination, it’s now in AR and VR! You can almost touch and feel the toxicity of it. Mmmmh.

Guess that will solve “a problem”.

Imagine how many Bluetooth and Wifi beacons will be tracking everyone who enters, or even comes within range of, these stores? And if they have the Facebook app installed on their device, I bet it it will do whatever it can when it sees those BT devices or is on a Meta wifi network.

Whatever you do, don’t use the restroom while you’re there. Zuck will have people picking through your poop to figure what kind of food and medical ads to target you with.

When did I say that?
Pretty obvious that a lot of ‘principled people’, probably even ones you know aren’t so principled.
Nothing to do with being perfect.
Most people look at cost rather than ethics, I’m not referring to the ones that have the choice to do either.
Big organisations are pretty nasty when it comes to principles. Facebook is little different from most others in that respect.

People love to jump on the Facebook bandwagon.
