Well, that’s what I’m looking into, and hoping that others will help. It’s hard because most people come with a preconceived conclusion. We all want to believe that this technology is safe. Therefore, there’s a bias towards information that supports that idea.

I think its just the wrong time (or the wrong forum) to ask this question. You tried to position your question as peacefully as possible yet the results are people treating you like a Samsung troll.

For me, I didn't think about it until after seeing the blinking lights in every review. I knew that we get "maced" in the face with IR beams but I didn't realize it was constantly happening for hours a day when as use our phones. I still assume its safe but is there any other tech that bombards your face with a constant stream of IR dots?

Except Face ID is not constantly activated while the phone is in use.
Is that true? Because all the reviews have that red dot constantly scanning so I'm unsure how often it does scan.

IMO, the SAR rating and phone being on your body all day is more of an issue.

Well, yeah, quite possibly. And having AirPods microwaving both sides of your head. All of these things are potentially of concern.

It should be the proximity sensor, by my tests the flood illuminator and the ir projector are a lot more noticeable. When unlocking the flood illuminator kicks in first, when it senses your face the dot projector comes and it is really quick.

Little flashing dot of the proximity sensor is always on, and it should be the same on the 8,7,6,5,4,3 iPhone series.

Even if they were harmful, they wouldn't care... As long as they make money off you. They'd never tell you, and anyone who came out with proof would be silenced or called a crazy conspiracy theorist... Because that's just how good they have programmed the mass public. Question any little thing and you get called a tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist.
