Thank you Jah...I'm so Blessed
Only two more days before one of the most anticipated games this year is released. I just wanted to know whos getting it and for what system. Since I'm PC-less right now and still waiting on my Aluminum MacBook my system of choice:

PS3...I don't care much for the DLC(I'm sure the non MS purchased DLC will come to PS3) but I'm hoping they allow some mods or I'll have to purchase the PC version next year.

Bless

PC for me. Better graphics, much cheaper (got it for $35) and fingers crossed for mod support in the future if Bethesda don't **** us over. Oblivion on PC was MILES about the console versions.

I'm still weary of the game though, Fallout 1/2 are among my favorite games ever and.... this one seems too different. It feels like they just wanted to cash in on the IP, but we shall see!

PC for me.
Ditto.

Oblivion on PC was MILES about the console versions.
Do you mean because of moddability? Because 'vanilla' Oblivion was an obvious console game direct ported to the PC and therefore I would give the consoles the edge on the non-modded version.

My expectations are low ... I expect 'Oblivion with guns', in other words a dumbed down console action game with just enough openness and things to choose that it can pretend to be a real RPG. So I am very ready to have my expectations exceeded ;)

Mods made it awesome. I still think even Vanilla is better than the console version. Performance wise it's still better, even vs the updated PS3 version, and being able to hotkey spells and such made it easier as well. It lacks a lot of refinements that a PC only or PC-lead game would have but oh well...

I'm really not a PC gamer and I'm not too fond of PC controls(don't kill me) I'm just hoping they allow some mods on the PS3 like they did for UT3.

This game is too huge for me to give a damn about DLC but we'll see how it goes.

I know this is just "Oblivion with guns" but the Elder Scrolls is a good game so I don't mind.

I bought/ordered PS3 version simply because the PS3 version of Oblivion was better than the 360's. Whether this works out for Fallout still remains to be seen.

I don't game on PC (or bootcamp)...

If Fallout 3 was a native Mac game like the first two, I would buy it for the Mac. I'm not going to buy a PC version to use in Bootcamp. The first two were among my favorite Mac games...along with Myth...way back when. I'm not sure what to make of the move to full 3D. I really liked the isometric views of the old games....which is why I'm happy Diablo 3 is isometric.....3D completely changes the feeling of a game. But we'll see.........

Anyway, I'll be getting the PS3 version. But not til the end of December.

I herd that the 360 version (as well as windows) will be getting downloadable content but it says for ps3 there are no plans for offering downloadable content. What's that all about? 360 version it is then for me.

The movement in Elder Scrolls was so robotic, that I never gave it a chance, so I'm not sure I'm going to get this game, but if the Fallout 1/2 guys love it, I'll give it a try -- I never played those games.

Hopefully they made F3's controls fluent like this game.

I'll be getting the 360 version. I don't own a PS3 (won't until FF probably, and yes, I know it'll be on the Xbox but I don't want to mess with 4+ discs) and I find it much easier to just plop down on the couch, grab a controller, and play. I don't enjoy sitting at a desk/hunching over my MBP to play a video game for 5+ hours.

I love Oblivion, but this game just doesn't peak my interest at all. I like the concept, but the graphics are muddy looking, the colour pallet is too grey and the gore seams over-the-top and unnecessary for me.

Hunching over a computer sounds rather uncomfortable, why would you do such a thing when there are reclining office chairs and bigger screen to hook up to your MBP? Then you could bring the "casual" gaming experience from your couch to your computer. ;)

My MBP 17" drives my main screen. My office chair, although not pretty, is rather comfortable for my daily 12+ hour ass-farming sessions. I recline while I work and game, it's a good alternative to hunching. I just have my desk and arm chairs at a good height that I'm not bothered by little things like carpal tunnel.

Changed my mind.. Watched some head to head and the 360 version is a little better than the PS3 version, plus it's €10 cheaper anyway. So I've cancelled the ps3 and got the 360 version instead.

I'll be skipping this one for now.

I'll be busy playing Far Cry 2 (and Silent Hill HC) for quite awhile, plus I have Bioshock, Dead Space and Little Big Planet on my shopping list.

This month is disastrous for my bank account...

Hehe .. this time of year *always* is ... I barely got started with Dead Space and was only a few hours into FC2, but decided that they will just have to wait until after the first of the year. FO3 takes priority, as well as some other stuff I have going like King's Bounty.

^ It's that time of the year... a lot of games I know I'll be buying upto christmas will end up on the shelf, barely touched until the new year  Why I don't just wait and buy them when I've finished others ?

well i paid a price for getting it for so cheap. Dell ain't shippin it till November 6th (along with Gears oddly enough). Oh well, more time for homework and Fable/LBP/....homework....and some more homework.

That looks cool.....thats the thing you bought with dead space right? looks like it makes the PC controls more accessible to non PC gamers....like me.

The PS3 has something just like that for the console......how does this one stack up?

I'm still getting fallout 3 for the PS3....the difference are minor and only noticeable if you're looking for it(Like a real nerd)

note: I'll have enough games to last me until killzone 2 this holiday season.

IGN gave Fallout 3 a 9.6 today (in other news, they also gave Resistance 2 [PS3] a 9.5 today)

Oh, and the device JackAxe told you all to buy is a Belkin Nostromo N52te, and I can confirm that it's a pretty awesome device, as is the slightly cheaper N52.

Well I have the same issue. I have 3 or 4 games I still have yet to touch. By December I'll be well past 40 PS3 games again. In fact I have to make room for more games as I've run out of room stacking up and over on my shelving system. Time to move the DVD's and make room for more PS3 games.

The way I figure it is why buy the console if you aren't going to buy the software. No one ever said this hobby (or any hobby) was going to be a cheap venture :p;)
