Fallout 3

I'm currently going through and trying to collect every unique weapon. I am trying to get the uniqie plasma rifle right now, given to you after you finish a quest from the doctor in Rivet City.

I really like having Dogmeat follow me around, but he dies so much! I ended up just leaving him with Fawkes at the History Museum so I wouldn't have to keep watching him die and quickload him back...

Where do you get the dog from i have had a slave follow me around and i have seen a friend of mine running around with a super mutant which was pretty cool.I have just done the rileys rangers side quest it was pretty good.

Dogmeat is in the scrapyard, which is roughly in the middle of the map. You have to kill some dudes bugging him, and then he will follow you if you tell him to. In the earlier levels, he's a good meat shield, but he becomes less effective later in the game.

The super mutant following your friend is Fawkes. You get him after you beat the second to last quest in the main story line. He has a gattling laser and is super powerful.

I have just escaped the Lincoln memorial research thing after i was attacked by the enclave troops that was pretty good apart for the glitches which are starting to p**s me off :mad: (the animation and text screws up every time i start speaking to someone!!) But just trying to get my hands on the super armour and then ill get back to some side stories.
 
I went back and started playing again, but got annoyed when I fell into this mining complex and had to walk allllll the way out and around and back up to get where I was going so I stopped playing. *sigh* where are the horses when you need them?!
 
I hate to necro an old thread but I've been spending some time in fallout 3, now that I finished fallout 4. Yeah, I'm doing it backwards.

Because I did the newer game before its predecessor, that kind of set my expectation to a certain level and my muscle memory is geared more towards fallout 4. I've remapped the controls to be closer to fallout 4 because of that.

Overall, I'm impressed with the game, the quests seem immersive. I've finished one of the side quests where I went into the space ship and that was surprisingly long. I'm fairly early in the game though, I have almost no caps, one bobblehead and I just finished the first part of the quest of going to megaton to search my father. Since then I've been poking around and doing some side quests.
