Any thoughts on tonight's episode? I thought it was hysterical, definitely better in terms of the newer episodes. The Lord of the Rings Contact Lense party was hilarious, as was the return of Benton was it? He peppered stewie pretty good with that biological warfare ;)

Anybody catch the "Blues Brothers" reference when Stewie asked "Did ya get my cheez whiz, boy?" Parody of the scene when Jake and Elwood return to the flophouse where Elwood was staying.

Yeah, I did, but I'm not sure how many others did. :p ;) While watching Family Guy I'll often laugh my ass off at a scene, and then wonder how many poeple actually picked up on the obscure reference which was just made. :D

yeah i just saw it! That was pretty great in terms of the plot. The humor of the episode was meh, but they really smashed Family Guy. It is definitely true in some regards about Family Guy, but i still like the show even though it is stupid non-plot involved humor...;)

And, next week's South Park will be a "Part II" of the episode tonight...:)

I don't know why, but that bit tonight with Stewie getting pissed off because he couldn't hear Mr. Belvedere on TV sent me into fits of laughter.

what was up with the kermit the frog reference? I missed the beginning of that sequence because i flipped channels during the commercial. All i saw was the silhoutte and he said something then ran away and brian was like "what's up with that frog?"

Yeah, why isn't anyone talking about this? South Park was brilliant tonight. As usual.

Well, I still think Family Guy is funny, no matter what Matt and Trey think. I did think it was big of them to poke fun at their own show though, when they talked about cartoons getting too "preachy" and conveying messages.

I don't think SP was saying FG isn't funny. I think they were saying that SP and FG use very different humor and they don't like it when people compare the two. I also think SP was making fun of all the oversensitive people out there.

Actually, I think one of them likes it. It's the other that doesn't, and like grapes said, they don't like being compared. Look at the joke about how Kyle convinced "Bart" that they weren't that bad. Or how they joked about how the manatees weren't afraid of terrorists. And especially the guy who said he just liked it because it was funny even if irreverent. I think a lot of us who like both feel the same way. They made some good points either way.

That's why it was such a good episode. ;)
