Hahaha!! Sooo wrong! :)

I'm sure that if you have time to hang out here on the forum and torture us, the phones are safe.. :D

They are safe and in good hands. I have been dealing with this since the first iPhone launch and it is the same every year. No matter FedEx or UPS, Apple gets handled the same.

Thanks! Is there a way at that site to find when a flight is scheduled, or just to see "after the fact"?

Commercial passenger airlines usually file their flight plans days if not weeks ahead of time, but from what I've seen today, FedEx may not do that. If flightaware is to be believed, there are no scheduled FedEx Flights out of ANC past this evening for the next 4 days, which is obviously wrong. I'm guessing they file their flight plans the day of which gives them the most flexibility with scheduling (since they don't have any passenger timetables to stick to).

The next scheduled FedEx flight looks good for units to move on to Memphis.

FDX76 - Scheduled 2:47 AKDT departure / Arrive 11:34 CDT MEM tonight.

looks good. the last link you gave had my phone in alaska at 10a local time so its possible it will be in memphis tonight

I hope FedEx slips up and forgets to hold them when they reach our destination facilities, because it is sounding very likely that mine at least will be in my area tomorrow.

But, most likely they will hold them for two days. Is it Thursday yet?

FEDEX never forgets. :D You will get your phone on Thursday with the rest of us.

Mine is or was in Alaska. The time on my notice was 11:52 AM which I assume is Alaska Time it takes some time for the plane to go through customs and refuel then its on to Memphis. So they may be on the way there now. :D

What flight would it be on 9168 isn't scheduled to leave Hong Kong again until about 6 AM tomorrow CDT. Could it be FX076 that went to Tokyo then Anchorage?

You never know. FedEx may feel left out of this whole mess, so they want to slip up as well so they can be popular since everyone else is doing it as well. :p

Not sure if I'm reading this wrong but according to these two links:

http://www.HelloFlight.com/Flight/FDX9168.cfm

http://www.HelloFlight.com/Flight/FDX76.cfm

...there are TWO flights scheduled to arrive in Memphis tonight at 11:34 PM central time. They would be leaving in about half an hour, if I'm reading it right.

Well both Flight 76 and 9168 are on their way to Memphis, TN. My status hasn't changed yet. I hope I am on one of those two planes.

Hah! "FedEx employee leaves a pallet containing 1,244 iPhones in a bar in Redwood City. Gizmodo pays $6.2 million for the scoops."

Looks like I am with you guys on the way to Memphis, Left Anchorage around 3:13. Anybody know exactly what flight that one is?

This is exciting, I did it with the iPad and now again with the iPhone. Twice in a few months, Apple is spoiling us. :D

i think tomorrow all phones will be in their destination states or cities. and will be held until the 24th.

All phones? I don't think so. Some won't reach until Thurs early AM. In fact the ones we presume are enroute to MEM right now will probably sit in MEM until tomorrow. FedEx will treat them like 3Day delivery packages.
