Well I was thinking of the racist remarks against some players, pretty low. Happens in other sports too.

Ok, nothing I've heard about. Not being that engaged.

Our channel that broadcast the Sport News and matches are focusing on just Sport in that app.
They have however a news-app, that I pretty much never open.

Sorry, I don't see much of a reason for my life to read a lot about the ugly in the world.

I rather Meditate, it have greater benefits for myself and the people around me - to be at peace!

Football is a team game; it is a game where a team's collective performance matters at least as much as individual participation - and, to my mind, Argentina are a perfectly horrible team. Technically gifted, etc, etc, but quite horrid.

Therefore, to my mind, it is not possible to be even considered as one of the greatest players of all time if one is a member of a thoroughly rotten team.

I mentioned Puskas because the Hungarian team of the 1950s were astonishing, and transformational in how they played; moreover, I would add the brilliant Johann Cryuff (Simon Kuper has written some superb material on Cryuff, Ajax, and Barcelona) of the legendary Dutch teams of the 1970s to such a list. And - obviously - Pele, - and the brilliant Brazilian teams of his era, of course.

Each of these great teams graced the game, which is something that Argentina have never done.

That is a well-considered opinion. What Puskas did, his movement and timing, scoring nearly a goal every game across his international career, will probably never be equalled. And Cruyff was a transformational genius, not just highly gifted technically and as a goal scorer but a visionary of tactics and playstyle.

I respect your opinion that no Argentine could be considered for the greatest football player, though I think it is perhaps a little harsh on Maradona.

I saw they held a press conference yesterday to tell everyone how great this World Cup has been. I mean, if it has to be repeatedly said, is it actually even true? It’s been a bit flat for me and I’ve missed so many matches due to the time differences, but that also happens to nations wherever it is. I do think the whole thing has been overshadowed with controversy, corruption and poor sportsmanship at times.

One of the worst ever World Cup’s ever I would say.
From interference from a certain someone, to the diabolical VAR and refereeing. Stupid count downs and half time ‘entertainment’.

I won’t be watching the (pointless) 3rd place game tonight and will probably skip the final. I have no desire to see anymore of Argentina’s style of play (let alone their illegal political slogans).

Take off 40-50% of the superlatives, and you may hit the target?
That much I’ve learned about Americans and their ways.

I’ve been more than satisfied of the WC myself and all great matches, not that I’ve seen everything.
But what I’ve seen, have been more, and better than I expected.
Our channel has made a great work with the selection, and how they shared the matches with a pay-channel - and I payed nothing extra for it.
I might check up some of the matches that I didn’t watch or just partly the coming month, before they go away?

However, I won’t see the big final, but I’m good with the bronze-match.
I’ve been happy to see Messi played in his, most probably, latest WC too 👍

As an American I have been more than embarrassed by most of the nonsense created by an individual who shall remain nameless. And I have no doubt that that the nameless one's billionaire friends complained about the lack of commercial breaks so I'd bet he had something to do with the water breaks...

I wasn't very excited for this WC. During the tournament itself there were things that I don't like (ad breaks or political interference/issues) but I must admit there have been a lot of very good football matches, exciting, well played, goals, underdogs, heroes, villains, some deceptions as always happens, all in all, a bit of everything.
Even the KO games that sometimes become very cinical and end in goalless penalty shootouts were quite good. Very few boring moments.
Unfortunately I won't be able to watch the final as I will be somewhere over the Atlantic.
