I still can't get over Saudi winning against Argentina, however, I think Argentina was holding back to this stage, and will possibly see different gameplay, if I am wrong, well it's a shame and I am massively discontented.
They were probably overconfident, after all they were playing Saudi Arabia and were leading. I suppose they expected the Saudis to just drop dead and enable a good old fashioned thrashing. Like when you invade a nearside island and expect nobody will do anything about it.
Still I doubt they will do that with the Netherlands and they really have a lot of talent some perhaps unknown to people more used with the EPL like Enzo Fernández.
Although age has also starting getting to Messi his style doesn't make speed as important and he is a bit younger that that other fellow.
If anyone is interested and wants to vote.

World Cup 2022: Who will win the Golden Boot
Mbappé is that don't think about it vote but Richarlison is probably going to stick around to at least the final and that certainly helps a lot.

That sounds about right, it's a shame though for Argentina, always have been seen as one of the top strongest teams, that said, this year WC, we have seen many surprises that we never imagined or foreseen, I wonder what other surprised we will see next.

Is England winning the WC finally? or even Morocco? our minds will be blown to the other end of the universe, wishful thinking? self-deception?

England could go on and win it. They have shown a bit of everything including a deep bench. My money would be on France but England can certainly do it.
But I doubt Morocco would be able to do the same.
Portugal can easily become bogged down on very well organized teams and have their defense offer something but I will be surprised if they can pull the same trick team after team. And nobody including Portugal will be playing that pass around 99% possesion game like Spain.

I think the Netherlands have a good chance of winning against Argentina. Van Gaal will have a plan, and they have talent in defense and attack, and they are still unbeaten.

But Brazil have really impressed so far, it’s hard to imagine Croatia making much of an impression.

I wouldn't be so sure about Brazil eff'd, Croatia on other hand...

Guessing eff'd means what I think it is...
I was being super-sarcastic. I was referring to a now infamous statement by the Canadian coach that his team was going to eff Croatia. That did not work out so well for him as it only motivated Croatia. My point is that overconfidence bordering on arrogance can backfire spectacularly and it has on more than one occasion for Brazil. Maybe not against Croatia, but who knows. All I know is that while Brazil has a very dangerous attacking trio, they have not been put to a real test yet as a team, especially as a defensive unit. In the past, flashy offensive-minded teams with average defenses have rarely done well at world cups.

Here we go! all ready and prepared for the action!

Popcorn and Beers to all!
I thought the first match starts at 9:00 (my time), but looking at the guide, the the first one is in an hour?

Croatia is giving Brazil really hard gameplay, let's see how they'll do on the extra time, maybe they'll go to penalties?

I mean, this will be a historic event and it's going to be such a tough one to take for Brazil, just like the Spanish losing to Morocco.

Bye-bye Brazil, was good seen ya...

This is the craziest World Cup I have ever watched. It’s just insane.

Bye bye Brazil.
Brazil have been living off their reputation and - to my mind - have flattered to deceive for quite some time now.

A lengthy tradition, and an excellent history in the World Cup is no guarantee of success in the current competition.

Brazil only have themselves to blame for going home. Absolute negligence not leaving anyone back to cover against the counter while holding a lead so late in ET. Can't take anything for granted against such an experienced and battle tested side as Croatia.

I would imagen many big players have lived in their reputation bobble and lengthy tradition for a very long time, Germany, Spain now Brazil, it's a good wake-up call for them.
