What we should learn from this, the 2nd penalty should have been shot by another player than Kane, just maybe they would have scored, but who knows, maybe I am making an excuse to feel better in my own logic.

Nonetheless, good and entertaining game.

As a neutral, it was a decent second half, quite entertaining. I’m rooting for anyone other than Argentina to win… such unsportsmanlike behaviour… Croatia-Morocco final would be worthy for the World Cup of upsets, but I reckon Argentina-France is more likely.
Ameen to that, I wouldn't like to see Argentina winning the WC, and bang on to the points in what you mentioned too.

England were unlucky there, better side over the 90 mins and the ref was abysmal. I am pleasantly surprised as I thought France would be all over us. Mbappe experienced his first game of the tournament where he wasn’t given space too.

Yes, it was a tough game. I think England could have done with another target man up front to break open defenses, they have good talented forwards in Kane, Saka, Rashford, Sterling, but getting on the end of crosses is what you need when space is at a premium.

Now France v Morocco and Croatia v Argentina.

Poor Harry Kane

he will get verbally terrorized for the rest of the EPL season
Anfield, Et James park etc. will eat him up!

I thought of some chants......

No one should be defending Kane, he is a professional sportsman, paid a huge amount of money to play the game, scores a brilliant 1st penalty and then makes a schoolboy error with the second. He should not be making mistakes like that, no way. Yes it's a team game but when chances come your way you have to take them and that second penalty was a chance. Kane screwed up, it's that simple but now his supporters, his manager and other will be making excuses for him. He's failed England and he should be told as such.

It does not matter how good a player is, if you cannot handle extreme pressure situations then you should not be playing and that was an extreme pressure situation and he failed. In the second half during the game there was graphics about how much possession England was having and as such they was doing well. BS!!! all that possession means F all if it does not end up with a goal. Spain is a very very good example of that and they went out as well.

France are the defending champions, the current holders and they wanted it more.

he is a professional sportsman,
My (now) friend gave up a Homerun in 1981 to end the season for a team
and a trip to the World Series of the other
that never bothered him and he pitched well afterwards and will talk about the at-bat with a smile!

Kane though, has no hope!

BBC quote on what you just said LOL, absolute rubbish.

On Harry Kane's penalty miss: "We know how many penalties Harry has scored for us, how many goals he has contributed to even get us here. He will be stronger for this in the future. He is a world-class striker and our captain, he will bounce back."

Kane will be stronger for this

Feel bad for England and their fans.

One of those games where the better team didn't prevail. Tough in a regular season match, but brutal in a World Cup quarterfinal.

Lloris saved France's chances in the first half when England could have had two, or three.

Yeah, the ref was "interesting." Seemed behind the game and not really in control, which is a shame at this level.

A France vs. Morocco semifinal? I didn't have that on my bracket. Anybody else? :)

I verbally told a few Crotia would win
last month

Did you know Croatia only has 4m inhabitants? Not sure if it’s the smallest nation at the world cup, but it must be close. Thats less than a third as many as the Argentine capital city of Buenos Aires.

The best final would be San Marino vs Vatican City.

Ok, Olivier Giroud plays 90 minutes, scores a header to win the game, and after the match his hair looks like this:

Ok, how does he do it?

Has he been working with Craig Federighi on a new line of Apple hair care products?

Well, good morning all, I went into an empty gym today, it's never empty in my gym, ever, I guess people are recovering from the pain, and drinks they consumed last night.

Also a very cold and all-white outside today (frozen).

That said, it's a good day to go out to an almost empty high street today.
