Is it really pronounced F-EE-FA? Everyone I polled here says F-EYE-FA but I heard the TV say FEEFA.
FEEFA, FIFA, FOFA, FUMFA. Doesn't really matter does it.

It's a french acronym.
For some reason unlike other organizations everybody uses FIFA.
Now the US must beat Iran and hope for either an England Tie or a Win.

Unfortunately, they (the US) were the better team in the second half, too.
Their lack of finishing did for them.
I thought the US were really well organised and prevented us from playing our game. We didn’t seem to have a plan B and I thought the subs were too few and left too late.
But for all that I was never worried we were going to lose the game.
Plenty of England fans ******** the bed over this result but in knockout football teams can’t play this style unless they have some serious threat in which case teams won’t play like this to start with.
A very well deserved result for America and the point almost certainly means England progress. Nothing to be concerned about in all honesty.

Although USA really could have used the three points, their impressive play in a draw against a very good English squad should give them a confident outlook going into the final group game against Iran.
Seven corners to three was indicative of the fine game the Americans played. Pulisic's service was much improved over the Welsh game, but it also highlighted the team's lack of size and leaping ability on the receiving end.
Tuesday should be fun.

I’d be surprised if someone other than Brazil, France or Spain win the tournament. Still the early fases of these things are fun, you get to see a clash of different styles.
If only the crossbar was 3 inches higher
That would have helped Ecuador beat the Netherlands yesterday. As it stood, they were the better team in that match, not letting the Netherlands get much of anything started in attack.
The Senegal / Ecuador match was always going to be the key game in Group A, and it still is — Ecuador just needs a draw in order to advance. If Enner Valencia is fit, they should feel pretty confident.
The Poland v Saudi game was very entertaining.
