Yes I was dead set on getting the plus.

Then I read how everyone here is getting the plus. Then I thought about it. I looked at the actual size verses the size of my hand. I think it would be very uncomfortable. If I had say a purse it's not a problem right. But I don't cary purses and it would be hard to use at social gatherings. The iphone 6 is the perfect size I think for browsing the web and using it like a phone.

I just made the switch. I went back and forth all day yesterday but decided to go with the 6.

My wait time was 4-6 weeks for the plus and i just thought it was way too big.

Anyone else make this switch like I did ?

The issue is the specs are what drive the buyers purchase, so size isn't everything. It can be said buyer's remorse could kick in if people got the size they wanted, but not the better specs and the iPad/landscape mode.
To be honest, I couldn't care less about OIS. It's the increased battery life that's driving my purchase. I'm still unsure if I can live with the 6+, though. I know it'll fit in my purse since I've been able to fit both iPad and Kindle Paperwhite 2 there (I'd just need to replace the PW2 with the 6+). The useability is a big question mark though so I'm giving myself a month or so to get used to it. If I can't stand it, then I'd get a 6 or stick to my 5s.

I must admit that one of the things that first attracted me to the plus was getting rid of my paperwhite and just using the Kindle app.

Sorry, but the Paperwhite still rules as an eReader. Your eyes won't appreciate staring at that LCD screen for so long. I'd hold on to that Paperwhite for a big longer if I were you.

It's not gonna be a Kindle replacement for me. For one, I prefer the Kindle's 3:4 aspect ratio. Two, LCDs are annoying to read on in bright sunlight. Three, e-ink is less migraine inducing for me. When I get migraines, I can still read on paper or e-ink but not LCD.

Though wait till the iPhone 6S, maybe those plus features will be put back into it, which I will not be too happy as I would get the Plus just for the camera's optical image stabilization.

Sure there'll be people who'll have buyer's remorse because they didn't get the better specs, but comparatively speaking, a much bigger size that you're not used to and didn't think through enough may prove much more constraining for some people than the loss of better specs.

Those who won't suffer from buyer's remorse did their research beforehand, but it appears we're seeing a lot of people who failed to do this, including in the OP and a number of "I've changed my order" threads.

You can still get the 6 Plus at the retail store this Friday, OP. Just in case you change your mind and find the Plus "not that big." :D

These threads are pretty funny. No one has these in-hand yet and you dorks are all arguing about what's too big, small, inadequate, blah blah.

THIS. EInk is still king for extended reading. I'm always reaching for my Kindle to read the latest zombie novel...

I wanted a bigger phone. If the size is a problem, I can change it next year...just like I did when I switched from mini to air.

Exactly. Some people are treating this like some sort of life-altering decision. Don't like it after a few months? Sell it for $$$ and buy the other one. There will be plenty of all models available by then.

I think I'm in this group now also...View attachment 490900

You sir made the correct choice. (In other words, you have the same config as I ordered :D)

----------

got the 6 bc felt the 6plus was too big, went to verizon today played with some 5.5in phones and whewww glad i made the right choice. Anything over 5 is too damn big. It's a cell phone not a freakin tablet.

Apple missed a trick in naming it iPhone 6 Plus. It should have gone down like this: "An iPhone and an iPad. An iPhone AND an iPad. Are you getting it? This is one device. We call it iPhad."

(Before I get flamed, this is obviously tongue-in-cheek :D)

I went back and forth for a couple of days and did the whole cardboard cutout thing.

I found that I was trying to convince myself that I would be ok with the plus because I wanted the better battery life and a bigger screen. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that I wasn't comfortable with the plus....besides, I'm coming from a 4s and have never had a large phone.

I'm coming from a 4S too. I was indecisive about the size, but I'm definitely not very careful with my phones (have dropped mine into the toilet...TWICE) and with two small kids and constantly sticking my phone in my back pocket, I decided to not go with the 6+. Hubby thinks that for me, I probably made the right decision, and as he said, there's going to be substantial difference either way since I'm so behind in the line of upgrades. Now for him, he does A LOT more on his phone than I do so I could see him getting the plus.

I ordered the 6,but this morning I cut out a piece of plastic the same dimensions of the 6+ and played around with it a bit.I was surprised that it was not as big as I envisioned.Hmmm, this is not an easy decision,if they had the exact sames specs and features I would still be leaning towards the 6,but the extra resolution and optical stabilization on the 6+ really has me on the fence.

The fact they made resolution so much better at least spec wise on the 6+ was the big factor. Smartphone are so much more than a phone.

I know the size is bigger than I want. But I don't make a lot calls and often use BT headset, when I can because holding the phone and heat to my ear is annoying.

But surfing, texting, reading emails etc should be a lot nicer with that display

I may even be able to read an e-book on it, if so my 15in MacPro and 6+ are I will need...he says with great hope:eek:

I have to assume you're a child since you convinced yourself to get something you don't want just so you could get it sooner. Be real, if you could any model, in any color, in any storage capacity shipped to your door on the 19th you'd get the 6+.

+1 for the switch. I ordered the plus at 3am. Cancelled at 7 am and ordered the minus. I feel much better now and can't wait until Friday.

I hope more of you cancel 6+ orders. That can only help me as I'm waiting for inventory. Please by all means. CANCEL. iPhone 6+ is too big for you. Don't wait until release day. iPhone 6 orders are already backed up a few weeks. Switch now while you can. Cancel that 6+, bigger isn't better. It's slow. Has only 100K of ram. Runs intel 386.

I hear it may even be running Windows

Thanks!

With the back and forth on this post........

With the back and forth on this post........ The sweet spot would have been 5" and Apple would have nailed it. that and water proof lol

With that Said, I have been back and forth all weekend and landing where I stated a year ago when I wanted the size of the HTC one in an iPhone. Got the 6 on the way. Canceled the Plus. I have had like 5 orders since Friday night but now down to just one.

Mmm, it's not that much bigger..... ImageUploadedByTapatalk1410728977.407425.jpg

Just get both. Use the 6 for 14 days then return it if you regret. It should help ease the wait for your 6+
