You weren't the first. And won't be the last. Especially when 6 buyers go yo an Apple store and put theirs next to the big one. A lot more exchanges in the horizon.
There's going to be more exchanges than people think

I have to assume you're a child since you convinced yourself to get something you don't want just so you could get it sooner. Be real, if you could any model, in any color, in any storage capacity shipped to your door on the 19th you'd get the 6+.

It's funny how people are mind readers on this site. You don't know me and I don't know you but you sure sound like a condescending AO with some sort of Napoleon or bullying complex. You were bullied at a young age weren't you?

I just made the switch. I went back and forth all day yesterday but decided to go with the 6.

My wait time was 4-6 weeks for the plus and i just thought it was way too big.

Anyone else make this switch like I did ?

Sounds like you gave in to get a phone earlier. Just return it and get the plus before 14 days, I know thats what you really want:D:apple::D:apple:

I think you made the right choice. The iPhone's claim to fame when it came out was that it enabled people to carry the internet in their pocket. The 6 Plus takes away this fundamental ability - not something that OIS and a few landscape apps could fix. Not to mention that having apps designed for a 4" screen scaled up to fit a 5.5" screen is a bit ridiculous. I predict a lot of disappointed people a few weeks after launch day, when the newness wears off and the frustration sets in.

A note fits in my pocket just fine. I have a co worker that uses a note and carries it in his front shirt pocket and cannot even see it. (Im no small guy, but he is a big dude, size 4xl shirt) The 6 looks tiny, and the 5 is like a stick of gum is what he always says.

I would use my iPad mini for a phone if it was possible.

In other words, to each their own.

I finally got around to doing the cutout thing today and went to Best Buy to compare the 6 Plus cutout to the Galaxy Note 3. I'm convinced that the 6 Plus is too big for me - after all I have a MacBook Air and iPad Air, so I don't really need a phone that large. I wish I would have done so earlier in the weekend or day because the T-Mobile 128GB Gold 6's were still available, but not anymore. Guess I'll cancel my 6 Plus preorder and go to the store and Friday in hopes of getting a T-Mobile 6.

does it not bug anyone that the 6 plus never runs at its native screen resolution? everywhere i've read suggests it renders 1242 x 2208 and then down samples to 1080p.

i guess the argument is that its high enough res that you wouldn't notice the softening. i've got one of the retina macbook pros, and true enough, the scaled modes don't look bad or anything. maybe its just the design geek in me, but that'd still drive me nuts to know my screen was *never* showing 1:1 pixels to what was designed. which is to say nothing of whether there is a performance hit as well.

I think there are going to end up being a lot of returns when people realize how big the plus actually is. A lot of people are comparing it to the G3 screen size that's correct. The bezel on the plus so much bigger and in actuality the plus is much closer and maybe identical in size to the Nokia 1520. Visit your local Att store they have 6 and 6 plus cases on display and for sale in anticipation for Friday.

I'm the other way. I have a 6 on order for the 29th and a plus for Oct 10. Still can't decide. How did you decide?

The only people complaining about the Plus size are the people buying the 6 so stop complaining about something you won't own. It's only the minority that complain and make noise. Sure there will be more happier people than those who are not, always the same.

....and vice versa.

Now iPhone 6 users are a minority? The things kids say on this forum.

Easy decision for me. The way it's designed the 6 Plus is simply to big for me. The regular 6 will be fine for me. My wife on the other hand can't wait to get her mitts on the 6 Plus. Apple should have done this when the 5 came out.

this thread had nothing to do with having to wait for the plus and making the switch. it think its just too dam big for me and my liking and what i do with it. i don't understand why people who are sticking with the 6 plus are even wasting time and posting in this and taking jabs at people for switching.

If i really wanted it i would have waited the 4-6 weeks but i think the 4.7 will be perfect for my.

if anything it might benefit you and help you to get yours earlier with all the people going from plus to 6.

lots of hot air and wasted time your fingers will never get back on this thread.

SMH

Which is a good thing because we'll be able to use our iPhone 6 one-handed and not have to make any lifestyle changes in terms of handling it.

Handling a 6+ vs a 6 requires a lifestyle change? LMAO! you guys are funny! :D I had to laugh at that one.

6 minus? Really?

The iPhone 6 guys don't need any more reasons to regret their purchase. Calling it 6 minus is just wrong.

Haha I think it's hilarious. People aren't that sensitive. Right? Right? Hehe

P.s. I reserve the right to change my mind and return the 6 and get the plus. But I think I made the right choice. We shall see.

I didn't know this until you've said it, but from what I've read the 6 Plus screen is noticeably sharper and move vivid, so I don't think it is going to be an issue.

Wow. This thread should be the end of all those old jokes about women not being able to make up their mind :D

Of course I'm making an assumption that many of these posts are made by guys so if you girls are annoyed I won't blame you ;) and anyway ever since guys became indecisive about what size phone to get, it looks like changing one's mind has moved from joke territory to inalienable right. Go figure!

Me, I'm passing on the 6 or 6 plus because when I got my 5C I was so tired of the gold, silver, "space grey / black" thing and I still am. So although the leaf wallpaper is killer, it wouldn't look bad on my green 5C and I'll probably settle for swiping the wallpaper this cycle.

If they had made a 6 in red with the kind of plastic and steel construction of the 5C, I would have been all over it even though I do prefer the smaller size of the earlier phones. But I am way ready for a Product (Red) iPhone!

A red case solution might work for me, but for me this season, that might really be "settling." I'm on the fence... but only about getting a 6 or not getting a 6, and I could overlook the too-bigness-for-me of it in the interest of being able to use Apple Pay.

I have an iPad mini so I just think the 6-plus isn't a good fit in my array of mobile gear. Six-plus seems kinda like a nano iPad!

I went the other way. Cancelled my 6 order and ordered the 6+ a day later. Screwed myself with the ship date, but I might try going to my local Apple store on launch day instead.

After being a 4.7'' Android user where pictures of people next to email are always there.... Apple leaves me no choice but to get the 5.5'' to get the same user experience even though Google already did it for their Gmail app on the 4.7.

You're just mad because you know I'm right.

Agreed

I also love how the OP criticizes you for throwing in your 2c, on a thread they clearly started to gain reassurance that switching was the right move. So basically, they're upset because they started a thread SEEKING people's 2c, but they got a response that wasn't "ya buddy! you made a brilliant choice there" and got upset.

Proves to me the OP made the WRONG choice in cancelling their order, as clearly they are too emotional to be basing a purchase decision on the hype at this point.

:p

Compared to the iPhone 6 or are you comparing to something else? The 6 Plus has lower contrast ratio compared to the 6 so this translates to less vivid, not more.
